Latest news on Jade and the Sugababes
The first big news story is the Bahrain Grand Prix 2011 where The Sugababes were going to play has been cancelled due to the anti government protests ~ JEF
The race, which was due to have been on 13th March, is the kingdom's biggest international event and has been held annually since 2004.
Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa said Bahrain had decided to withdraw in order to focus on "overcoming tragedy and healing divisions".
He was speaking after a week in which at least eight protesters have been killed.
F1 racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart told Jeff Randall Live that the Bahrain Grand Prix is one of the most popular in the racing calendar.
"Bahrain turned out to be a very business comfortable nation to deal with, it was very business friendly and that culture was much appreciated by the F1 community.

The opening round of the 2011 Formula 1 season in Bahrain has been cancelled as anti-government street protests continue.
Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa said Bahrain had decided to withdraw in order to focus on "overcoming tragedy and healing divisions".

Sugababes head back to music scene as they choose their comeback single
The Sugababes are set to emerge from hiding this summer after picking their comeback single.
The ever-changing Sugababes are making their way back to the music industry Longest-standing member Heidi Range says the girls’ return will be the perfect way for her to celebrate a decade in the ever-changing group.
‘We’ve been in the studio and we’re working on the new album so hopefully it will be ready for summer,’ she told Metro.
‘We did a song last week that we think could be a first single. That’s exciting when you get to that stage.’
The trio still have a few songs to go and are not giving anything away about their new image yet.
‘We haven’t really decided on the tracks but we’re trying out different styles,’ the 27-year-old said.
Range says she, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen welcomed their time out of the spotlight since Ewen replaced Keisha Buchanan, the remaining founding member, in 2009 after a series of rows.
There are no cat fights these days, said Range. ‘I’ve been in the band for ten years in August, which makes me feel really old,’ she added.
‘Me and the girls get on great so it’s nice that we’ve been able to take our time with this album and it’s not a rush so we’re getting it right before we bring it out.’

Two new Sugababes Tracks named on Wikipedia
Thanks to TheLastSugababe for the heads up.
According to the Wikipedia entry for Fernando Garibay he has been busy producing for Lady Gaga on "Born This Way". Not only that but also working on two tracks for The Sugababes new album named "Spiders" and "Dollhouse". This may explain why someone thought that "Born This Way" was sounding a little Sugababish as well as Madonna like.
Garibay worked on “Wait For You” & “Wear My Kiss” on The Sugababes 2009 Sweet 7 album.

From the East End to Eurovision and Beyond
After representing Britain at Eurovision Jade Ewen still has that down to earth quality about her. Headliners spoke with the new Sugababe about her solo single, My Man, and all the gossip behind the scenes.
“Everyone talks about this guy, everyone loves this guy, it’s so funny” Jade laughs and her eyes light up. The man she is talking about isn’t a boyfriend - she’s single at the moment so she can be “focused on music and be a bit selfish” – but the cute guy in the video for her new single My Man.
“It was fun, I got to pick. They had pictures and they were like ‘Which one do you like?’ and I went, ‘I want THAT one!’”
Picking out hot men for videos is a bit of a new thing for Jade, who still lives with her family in East London. Right from the beginning she had a lot on her plate. Both her mother and father have sight problems, so in her teens she became a young carer for her parents and her younger brother and sister. How does she cope with pressure of looking after her family whilst pursuing pop success?
“The good thing about my siblings is we’re all really close and obviously they’ve grown up looking after my parents as well so it doesn’t feel like so much of a massive responsibility for them now they’re having to do more.”
Despite the pressures of caring for her family Jade won a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, one of the country’s best stage schools. In 2005 Jade became a member of the group Trinity Stone, and got to work with Ne-Yo on the track Real Love. Although they had some success they were dropped from Sony in 2007 without releasing their debut album. Jade explains that after that things were uncertain for her.
“The record deal didn’t work out and I was like ‘what am i gonna do now?’ I didn’t do any A-Levels or anything, I’ve never had a normal job, I had to try sign on which is not cool. Everything was really frustrating”.
When she found out about the Your Country Needs You competition she entered hoping that someone would hear her sing and give her a record deal, but she didn’t expect to win and represent Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Overall Jade Ewen is intensely motivated, but still has a great sense of humour and is a very down to earth person – she’s a massive Big Brother fan and she wanted Rodrigo to win. She also still cares about her local area, East London.
“The good thing I think at the moment in East London is the Olympics. They’re really trying to focus on encouraging children to have more involvement in sports and athletics. I think that’s brought a positive energy to the area.”
We’re sure Jade Ewen is one to watch for the future and we give her our best wishes for her career.
