The original lineup of the Sugababes are set to reform, a report has suggested.

The founding members of the girl group - Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy - are said to be working on new material before they make the reunion official.

According to Wot You Got the original trio "haven't signed anything official yet, but they have been demoing some new songs to see if they can re-capture that magic of their debut album".

The site added: "If they get that right, then they'll sign on the dotted lines."

Buchanan played her first solo gig earlier this year, showcasing some of her new material at an event in London.

However, no official release date or record deal has been announced for the star since she left the group back in September 2009.

Current member Jade Ewen recently revealed that it was "nice" to talk to Buchanan after filling her spot in the pop band two years ago.

Meanwhile, Buena recently won the rights to use the Sugababes name on Class 16 goods, which includes stationery, gift wrap and gift wrap ribbons.

Could the original Sugababes be getting back together?

Could the original Sugababes be getting back together?

This excites us A LOT. Reports have been flying around that the original line up for the band, Sugababes, are in talks to reunite and hit the world with a barrel load of pop hits. Eeeeeek!
According to Wot You Got Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan, "haven't signed anything official yet, but they have been demoing some new songs to see if they can re-capture that magic of their debut album".
O. M. Geeeeeee!
Only recently Mutya Bueno won the rights to use the band’s name on things like stationary and gift-wrap. You know, should she ever wish to branch out into the world of gift-wrap and pencils. As you do. Mutya, if you ever make a liquid-filled Sugababes pencil case, we will totes buy one.
Siobhan and Mutya were just 13 when they formed the band in 1998. After recruiting Mutya’s mate Keisha, the trio set about creating their amazing debut Overload. Which we LOVED. Who didn’t?
In 2001 during a tour around Japan, Siobhan decided to end her Sugababes dream and left the band. She was replaced by current member Heidi Range.
Mutya was next to scarper, in 2005, leaving Keisha and Heidi to pick Amelle Barrabah as her replacement.
It wasn’t until 2009 that Keisha, the final original member of the band, left the band. Her departure was surrounded by controversy because, according to Keisha’s twitter comments, it wasn’t her decision to quit. Ouch.
And now it would seem the trio have come full-circle and will potentially be getting back together again. We wonder what Siobhan, Keisha and Mutya will call their new group? Sugaladies perhaps?

X Factor: Amelle Berrabah loves Rhythmix and Misha B but NOT Frankie Cocozza

X Factor: Amelle Berrabah loves Rhythmix and Misha B but NOT Frankie Cocozza

October 17th, 2011 by Lisa McGarry.

Amelle Berrabah has admitted that she thinks the right two acts were in the bottom two on last night’s X Factor.
The Sugababes singer appeared on tonight’s Xtra Factor and revealed that she didn’t enjoy either Nu Vibe or Frankie Cocozza’s performance on the main show and thought they both ‘deserved’ to be in danger of elimination.
Amelle said:
“I don’t think they were at their best tonight, that’s for sure. Frankie he struggled a little bit and I think people saw it. I think they both deserved to be in the bottom two.”
However Berrabah did enjoy some of the show and explained that she was wowed by Rhythmix’s performance last night. She added:
I’ve become a really big fan of Rhythmix, they’re wicked! I think they’re so good. To be honest, last week I wasn’t that impressed but last night they shut me up. They’ve got a fan for life now, they’re wicked. I think they’re fresh, they can sing and they’ve got some great swagger about them. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to them as well, they’re nice girls.
The brunette beauty was also impressed by Sami Brookes and Misha B and continued:
Sami she’s got some big voice, but Misha is wicked as well, she is so talented.
Who did you enjoy listening to on The X Factor last weekend and do you think Frankie and Nu Vibe deserved to be at the bottom? Leave your comments below.
