It can be difficult to decide what to wear at a festival - a dress, shorts, a pair of jeans?
But Kate Nash stunned fans when she took to the stage at V Festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, yesterday in an entirely unique outfit of a bizarre tasselled all-in-one.
The 23-year-old singer appeared to have taken inspiration from an octopus for her costume, which consisted of a patterned jumpsuit complete with a black cardigan with striped tassels attached.
Octopussy: Kate Nash appeared to have taken inspiration from an eight-legged mollusk for her outfit at V Festival today
Bizarre: The patterned all-in-one and tasselled cardigan with black and white stripes did little to flatter Kate
However, Kate's outfit didn't stop fans enjoying her performance, which included tracks off her most recent album My Best Friend Is You, including single Kiss That Grrrl.
Speaking about how she has changed since bursting onto the music scene with track Foundations in 2007, Kate said recently: 'I've grown up a lot. When I first got involved in music, I thought about music differently.
'I really thought about that this time - '60s girl groups, Riot grrrl rock, and punk, and various others influence me. So, my influences have changed, too, definitely.'

Kate also introduced boyfriend Ryan Jarman from The Cribs to play the guitar for her final song of the day, I Just Love You More.
She was just one of the performers to take to the stage on the second day of V Festival, which sees performers split their time between the Chelmsford venue and Weston Park in Staffordshire.
Other notable performances came from the Sugababes, who wore stunning tight black outfits as they performed tracks including most recent single Wear My Kiss, and Diana Vickers.
Day 2 of battle of the blondes: Diana Vickers (left) and Pixie Lott went for black and gold outfits, while Taylor Momsen (right), who performed with band The Pretty Reckless, wore the same ouftit as the day before
X Factor star Diana changed up her outfit for the second day of the festival, switching her zebra-print dress for a stomach-baring crop top and black trousers.
But the outfit didn't go down too well, as Diana ended up splitting her trousers during the performance at the Nissan Duke Arena.
After the performance, Diana explained: 'I was dancing my little bum off. I was proper going for it and I split my trousers I was dancing so hard.
'It was so amazing, honestly. I wasn't sure if many would turn up but all of a sudden everyone came into the tent. It was such a good crowd.'
Eccentric: Outrageous performances came from lively singer Paloma Faith, who wore a huge tiara
Outrageous: And Alison Goldfrapp of Goldgrapp, who wore an odd feathered jacket and tight black jeans
Pixie Lott, Eliza Doolittle, Alexandra Burke and Peter Andre, who treated fans to a Michael Jackson medley, also performed, while many of the acts paid tribute to Charles Haddon, lead singer of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, who is believed to have taken his own life at a music festival in Belgium on Friday night.
La Roux singer Elly Jackson dedicated her set to Haddon, as Ou Est Le Swimming Pool supported her band on tour last year.
Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson was among those enjoying the music at Hylands Park yesterday.

He said of the event, officially known as the Virgin Media V Festival: 'It's been a tremendous 15 years.'
Sir Richard Branson's son Sam performed in the VIP area backstage with his new band Delilah.
Sam played guitar and his friend Jamie Burke - model and former fling of Kate Moss - was on vocals.

Celebrity guests also included the Hollyoaks crew, including actresses Jorgie Porter and Jessica Fox, Holly Willoughby, David Gandy and Amy Winehouse's goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.
It is estimated 155,000 attended the festival, which is celebrating its 15th year, across its two sites over the weekend.
