Amelle Berrabah shows off her cleavage in purple dress and statement necklace at Cointreau party

It's no choke! Amelle Berrabah shows off her cleavage in purple dress and statement necklace at Cointreau party

She may have been a little put out recently when the original Sugababes returned to the music scene with rave reviews.
But on Wednesday Amelle Berrabah looked like a woman very much in charge as the attended the launch of the Cointreau Privé designed by Simone Rocha at St Martins Lane.
Showing off incredible figure the 29-year-old slipped into a skintight purple dress by Myleene Klass which she teamed with a very bold and eye-catching metal choker.

The colourful dress fell just below her knees and showed off her ample cleavage with a low cut neckline.
She teamed the number with a pair of black heels while she added a dash of red lipstick creating a great contrast with the purple.
Her hair had been styled in a side parting with a big flick but it was the necklace which featured two chains which stole the show.
Choked up: Amelle opted to wear a statement necklace, which was much like a choker

The singer was joined at the evening by former TOWIE star Lydia Rose Bright, who opted for a more demure look.
She wore a black prom style dress which fell below her knees and she created at touch of Hollywood glamour with loose waves and bright red lipstick.

Her fellow reality star Louise Thompson was also on hand for the drinks party and showed off her tan in short black dress.
The Made In Chelsea favourite teamed the skater style skirt with a pink sequined jacket which ensured she caught the light and plenty of attention as she strolled around the party.

Her brunette locks were tied off her face and with a simple slick of black eye-liner  she showed off her natural beauty.
Also in attendance was Thom Evans who looked particularly dapper in a checked two piece suit, with a contrasting check tie.
He wasn’t joined however by Jessica Lowndes, who is usually by his side at such events, often opting to wear complimentary outfits to her man.
TV presenter Zoe Hardman was also at the party showing off her figure in a stylish leather skirt with a patterned red and black top.

SUGAMANIA: Amelle Berrabah says a Sugababes reunion could happen in 2014; Jade Ewen says they have been over for two years

SUGAMANIA: Amelle Berrabah says a Sugababes reunion could happen in 2014; Jade Ewen says they have been over for two years

Sugababe #5 Amelle Berrabah reckons the current version of the Sugababes could have a follow up to Freedom out towards the end of next year. Take that, MKS!
Amelle was talking to That Grape Juice about her upcoming solo single Love Is All We Need, but basically they ignored that and asked instead about the stuff that really matters i.e. the Sugababes, what the Sugababes are doing, when the Sugababes will be back.
“I deffo wouldn’t say never,” she said, deffo-nitely. “I would like to think that all three of us would get back together at the end of 2014 to do another album.

    Sugababes 2.0

“But that’s if all three of us want to do it wholeheartedly. But a lot changes in a year, but I’d like to think we will.”
Which is good, yes, but sort of flies directly in the face of Sugababe #6 Jade Ewen, who, over at the National Lottery Stars gala, was busy telling Digital Spy that actually Sugababes 2.0 (that’s Sugababe #4, Heidi, plus #5 and #6) split up two years ago.
And she said that pretending anything otherwise was unfair to fans.

    Sugababes Alpha

“This is a tricky one,” she said, trickily. “I don’t feel comfortable lying, [but] saying we’re in the studio recording and we’re going to bring music out next year – which seems to be the favoured line – I think it’s unfair to fans and we should be honest.
“The band being over is definitely not my choice. I kind of was unlucky in that I came in towards the end of the cycle when things naturally came to the end.
“There was so much drama surrounding the group, I think the music just got lost. I don’t like all the drama and the negativity. We kind of fizzled out about two years ago.” So, in conclusion: the Sugababes are definitely over, but might release something in 2014. CLEAR AS MUD.

Sugababes split up two years ago and they've been lying about it ever since, says Jade Ewen

If you believed the band were coming back in 2014, you're either easily tricked or you're Heidi Range

Are you sitting down? We've got some bad news - the Sugababes are splitting up! Well, they actually split up two years ago, but they've been lying to us for ages because ... we don't know why, actually. Because Amelle, Heidi and Jade thought we'd all fall apart without the band here to watch over us? We need something to believe in, in these hard times. And the Sugababes clearly thought that THEY were that beacon of hope. And now it's gone. Sorry everyone.
In an interview that sounds like a confession, Jade admitted to Digital Spy that she literally couldn't go on lying about the band coming back next year, and it sounds like once she started talking, she couldn't hold anything back.

"This is a tricky one because I don't feel comfortable lying, saying we're in the studio recording and we're going to bring music out next year, which seems to be the favoured line," she said. "I think it's unfair to fans and we should be honest. The band being over is definitely not my choice. I kind of was unlucky in that I came in [to Sugababes] towards the end of the cycle when things naturally came to the end. There was so much drama surrounding the group, I think the music just got lost. I don't like all the drama and the negativity. We kind of fizzled out about two years ago."
Which was also when Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan got back together. Interesting. "I do think the lineup changes have obviously got to be a factor, you can't get away from it," Jade continued. "I'd be lying if I didn't think the same when I was approached. I was like, 'Is this going to work? Are people going to accept it?' But I know it's a brand and the music industry isn't necessarily about making music. One day I'm hoping that I'll be able to put out a book and explain that whole chapter."

And in the bleakest look at the music industry EVER, Jade added: "I had to make a decision - a very difficult decision, because I was about making music and the creativity - when I realised that everybody was only interested in the business and that if I ever wanted to put out music I needed to take an opportunity in the short term. I was just trying to survive. I went from Eurovision to being told I had a solo deal to being told, 'You might be dropped'. I'd already had three deals before that and been dropped and it's heartbreaking. I basically thought, 'Alright, I'm going to go for it, see where it takes me'. I did feel to a certain extent that I got lost, but at the same time it was an amazing opportunity. It was almost like a dress rehearsal of being a popstar. But now it's time to move forward... Come on, I've done Eurovision, I've done Sugababes. If it's still hard, should I just give up?"
Don't give up, Jade! There's always Celebrity Masterchef, which Heidi Range recently had a crack at.
And here's MKS's single Flatline, which is out today. Sorry Jade.
