Mutya Keisha Siobhan: 'Our new album sounds fantastic'

Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan: "Our new album sounds fantastic!"

Siobhan, Mutya and Keisha are now known as MKS!

We know that the earth has shifted on its very tectonic plates since the announcement of Girls Aloud’s reunion, but let’s not let that cast a big old apocalyptic shadow over that other great girlband reunion, that of the original, real Sugababes – Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan.
When asked if they’ve spoken to the current Sugababes – their three replacements – Siobhan replied: “Well I don’t know them!” and Keisha added: "It's all cool, there's no drama. I don't think they are really bothered."
And when asked if they think the Sugababes are pleased to have the original Sugababes back in the form of MKS, Mutya responded: “I’m sure they are”
Keisha explained that because of their names being the name of their new band, it’s going to be hard for anyone to replace them this time round: “that’s a brand in itself, it can’t be changed.”
And Siobhan added: “It’s just about this line-up, that’s it” and Keisha explained their upcoming plans: “We are recording an album at the moment. We’re excited about it, you’ll hear it maybe this year, maybe next year, but we’re really excited. It’s fresh music, we’re really proud of it.”

Siobhan explained the sound of their new album: “We’re writing it all ourselves. Great vocal harmonies, kind of back to where it started but with a modern twist, it’s sounding fantastic.”
Speaking to ITN on the red carpet at the Q Awards, Keisha also said: “We’ve got so many influences in but it’s really nice because the label are letting us have our creative control, it’s amazing and we’re having a great time.”
Mutya did talk, too, but it was mostly “yes”ing to what the other women said. And they all looked really fabulous. Are you excited about their comeback album?
