Singer Jade Ewen Rocks Street-Chic Supra Kicks: Hot or Hmm? - yournextshoes.com

Singer Jade Ewen Rocks Street-Chic Supra Kicks: Hot or Hmm?

APRIL 30, 2013 • BY ANDREA
Jade Ewen, an English singer and songwriter, was spotted promoting Zumba fitness in a pair of eye-catching sneakers — the “Skytop” from Supra in red. Maybe I’m just a fan of athletic-inspired shoes and the color red, but I really like Jade’s kicks! She paired them with a sporty Zumba attire, but they’d look hot with everyday apparel as well. I’d like to try a pair with my favorite cutoff jean shorts and a cropped graphic T for running errands or for a casual lunch out. They would be great with skinnies and a sporty tank, too.
Although some shoe lovers are a little skeptical about the ongoing sneakers trend, I actually think it’s hot! I also think that the Skytop has that attractive street-chic vibe. Below, see photos of Jade in these Supra kicks and check out the shoes in other available colors.

Sugababe Jade Ewen showed off an impressive washboard stomach last night - but even she has days when she feels self-conscious about her figure.

The singer, who recently took part in the ITV1 diving show Splash!, does like the odd treat and admits she often feels like she could improve her shape.

Speaking to Reveal, she said: "Generally, I've been trying to get more into nutrition and healthy eating.

"But just like all women, I have days all the time where I feel like I want to improve my body.

"I think, 'Urgh, I want to change this, I want to tweak that'. I don't know a woman who is happy with herself."

She adds: "My guilty pleasure food is Indian takeaway. Ahhhh, I love an Indian!"

When appearing on Splash!, Jade had to bare her body in front of thousands while wearing a swimsuit - and she found it tough!

"A few years ago, I would've turned down the chance to do Splash! purely because I couldn't stand the thought of people seeing me in my bikini," Jade said.

"I'm feeling good about myself these days, so didn't mind, but I still felt really vulnerable and exposed."

She added: "It wasn't so much the diving, it was the fact I had to practically get my arse out on national TV!"

We chatted to Jade at the launch of Zumba Fitness' global charity initiative, The Great Calorie Drive. Olympic gymnast and Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis Smith was also helping to kick start the campaign.

But he admits his fitness training isn't quite what it was this time last year ahead of the London 2012 Olympics.

"I'm kept very busy and it doesn't leave a lot of time for working out. I do try to fit it in though - whether it's in the gym or in my bedroom," Louis said.

"My diet has been quite strict pretty much all of my life, but it has been more relaxed lately."

Saying that, you won't catch Louis chowing down on a Big Mac: "I've had one before, but it's not for me. If I'm going to have a takeaway, it'll be a Subway!' he laughed.

Congratulations to Jade Ewen making it into FHM's Top 100 Sexiest Women at #67

12 months ago,FHM announced that Tulisa Contostavlos - of N-Dubz, X Factor and sex tape fame - had officially been voted the World’s Sexiest Woman by the readers of FHM. We expected a few people to be surprised; shocked, even. But what happened next, no one was prepared for.

Thousands – nay, millions of you – took to the streets (or at least the internet) to voice your outrage. It was front-page news on every tabloid newspaper. So many people clicked on FHM.com that our server crashed. Three times. We received letters, emails, tweets and letter bombs denouncing the result. How could – in a world of 3,301,112,087 women – Tulisa possibly be the world’s hottest?

Our answer was simple: Democracy. 99% of those who threw their toys out of the pram did not cast a vote. If they had, things could have been very different.

This year, they were. Across three long months of polling we received more votes than ever before. You took to Twitter, to Facebook, to Instagram, to the pub, to have your voice heard. You made campaign videos. You shouted from the rooftops. One of you even sent in an anonymous plastic doll of Kate Upton with a ‘Vote for me’ badge (thanks for that, by the way). And the result? The most competitive, and the most trouser-shatteringly sexy 100 Sexiest countdown of all time.

A huge big-up goes out to our chums at VO5 Extreme Style for supporting the campaign, and for giving us lovely, soft hair that smells nice. And of course a massive thank you goes out to you lot, for getting off your arses, clicking away and sending a message to North Korea’s Kim Jong Un about the power of democracy.

The Co-operative hits £1m milestone for young carers

The Co-operative hits £1m milestone for young carers

Employees have run marathons, completed grueling cycle rides and braved Ben Nevis for the cause

Staff at The Co-operative have reached the £1m milestone in their quest to raise the money needed to help a generation of young adult carers to change their world.
The figure has been achieved less than three months after Sugababe singer Jade Ewen, herself a young adult carer, launched The Co-operative's Charity of the Year partnership with Carers Trust.
Employees have run marathons, completed grueling cycle rides and braved Ben Nevis as they aim to raise a total of £5m to allow Carers Trust - which formed last year when The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care came together – to provide desperately needed breaks, information, advice and support and services for 14-25 year-olds facing the challenges of caring.
Michael Fairclough, The Co-operative's head of community and co-operative investment, said: "I am delighted to see the enthusiasm our staff, members and customers are demonstrating in support of young people in our communities who undertake unpaid practical and emotional caring responsibilities for family members or friends who cannot cope without them.
"Although it will affect most families at some time, caring remains a hidden issue. Together we will put this issue on the agenda and make life changing differences to thousands of young lives."
Thea Stein, chief executive of Carers Trust, said: "This is wonderful news. At the start of our partnership with The Co-operative we dared to dream of a transformative year for Carers Trust and for those hard-working young people all around us who desperately need our support and services.
"We are already hearing from young people across the UK who are thrilled that this hidden issue is being recognised and it is with thanks to the staggering support of The Co-operative."
The Co-operative's support for Carers Trust forms part of its commitment to inspiring young people.
There are an estimated 500,000 young adult carers (14-25 year-olds) in the UK who care for a family member or friend who are ill, frail, disabled or have mental health or addiction problems and cannot cope without their support.
