Bidding war over reformed original Sugababes album
The rebirth of the original Sugababes continues to gather pace.

Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy are currently in final negotiations over a new record deal after a bidding war broke out between a handful of UK record labels.

They’ve hired PR heavyweights Outside Edge – run by Britney Spears’ guru Shoshanna Stone – to promote them.

And my sources also tell me that plans for Keisha to release solo material ahead of the girls bursting back on the scene have been put on hold.

“Keisha’s put everything on the back burner with regards to her solo record. The girls have got together and they’ve produced the best music they’ve ever done,” my music industry mole reveals.

“To say everyone is excited about this comeback is an understatement. They’re going to take over the girl band scene with the new record.”

But they have one big decision to make yet – what to call themselves, as their manager holds the rights to the original moniker. The source adds: “They still don’t have a name. It can’t be Sugababes so they’ve got their thinking caps on.”

I really hope it doesn’t take too long – I can’t wait to have them back!
