Win tickets to see Jessie J at the SECC
AFTER breaking her foot and disappointing music fans by pulling out of Scotland's biggest music festival, Jessie J is coming to Glasgow.
New music event Clyde 1 Live will take place at the SECC and the Jessie, Pixie Lott, Olly Murs and the Sugababes are the first acts on the bill to be named. And the Advertiser has three pairs of tickets to give away.
Jessie J has had a phenomenal rise over the past year and after performing perched on a throne at Glastonbury, Scottish fans were eagerly anticipating her appearance at Balado.
A remarkable rise witnessed her debut single, "Do it Like a Dude", peak at number two in the UK singles chart and the follow up "Price Tag" top the chart here as well as France, Ireland and New Zealand. It also broke into the US charts - a traditionally incredibly difficult market. Debut album "Who You Are", released in February this year went platinum.
Pixie Lott made a spectacular splash on the pop world two years ago when her first two singles "Mama Do" and "Boys and Girls" topped the charts.
Pixie’s first album "Turn it Up" went top 10 in its first week of release and spawned a total of five top ten singles including. Her second album is due for release this November and her new single "All About Tonight" will precede it in early September.
The Sugababes will also be there and another three or four artists are expected to be added to the line up over the coming weeks.
Clyde 1 Live will take place on Friday, September 30. Tickets priced £22.50 plus booking fee are currently on sale and can be purchased in person at the SECC Box office, by phone on 0844 395 4000 or online at www.ticketsoup.com.
