Review: Chester Rocks at Chester Racecourse X5 Photos





WHAT is it Abraham Lincoln once said?
You can't please all of the people all of the time.
But this weekend it seemed that Chester Racecourse did.
A music festival that books acts from Iggy Pop to The Saturdays just shouldn't work.
And yet, somehow, it did.
Of course, it helped to split it into two. The first day was a feast of pop as The Wanted, McFly, the Sugababes, The Saturdays, Taio Cruz and Eliza Doolittle attracted a crowd of teenagers and parents.
One of the best sets came from The Christians, whose summer soul-tinged pop worked perfectly in a festival environment.
The second day was devoted to a more alternative line-up with acts ranging from the Lightning Seeds to Iggy Pop.
