Channel 4 to offer live stream on Facebook for first time

Channel 4 to offer live stream on Facebook for first time

Have you ever wondered what celebs get up to backstage? Then wonder no more. T4 will be live streaming T4 On The Beach on their Facebook page.
A multiplatform first for Channel 4, the live stream will take place from 11.45 – 17.45 this Sunday 10 July at facebook.com/thisist4
T4 have installed four special cameras around the site giving viewers exclusive access to see what their favourite stars are doing behind the scenes. From watching artists preparing for performances, to seeing who’s talking to who in the green room, the T4 Facebook stream will have it covered.
The T4 facebook page will have a video stream (a vision mixer will cut between feeds) and a chat box, so fans can interact on the page and we’ll use the chat panel to keep fans posted on who is about to pop up on camera.
Jody Smith, Multiplatform commissioning editor: “We’re giving viewers VIP access to T4 On The Beach, by providing a video stream that will mix the best backstage action – access that’s normally restricted to just a few stars and their entourage. We’re streaming it via our T4 Facebook page, placing it in the heart of the conversation and buzz that will surround this year’s event.”
Viewers can follow the show via the T4 twitter feed @T4witter and use the #T4OTB hashtag to comment along with the show. T4 will be asking for comments during the show and the most interesting will be used on air.
The Wanted, N-Dubz, Sugababes, Chipmunk, Jason Derulo, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, Katy B, The Wombats, McFly, JLS, Cher Lloyd, Hard-Fi will all be performing in Weston-Super-Mare.
#T4OTB, Sunday 10 July, 1.40pm, Channel 4.
