Amelle Berrabah has hinted that her first solo single is called 'Rebel'.

The Sugababes star, who is currently working on solo material in the recording studio with producer Pete Kirtley, previously described one of her songs as "ridiculous!!! In a good way!"

However, Berrabah has now strongly indicated that her debut single is named 'Rebel', after she started to use the word as a Twitter hashtag when talking about her solo project.

Writing about her new official Facebook page, she tweeted "More pics 2 come soon people!! Don't 4get 2 check out my official Facebook site!! Love u guys! #REBEL!x"

The star then continued to respond to and retweet fans using the 'Rebel' hashtag.

An official confirmation on the release of the new track has yet to be issued, but Berrabah recently suggested that it would be soon.

Fellow Sugababes member Heidi Range has teased that she has also considered recording a solo album while the girl group take time off to pursue their own individual projects.

She had said previously that one of the main reasons she had decided to take part in Dancing On Ice was to lose weight.

And now Sugababes singer Heidi Range has expressed her delight after the ITV talent show helped her slim back down to a size six.

Heidi spoke about her weight loss as she showed off her newly-svelte figure in a skintight gold catsuit as she paid tribute to James Bond movie Goldfinger on yesterday's Movie Night show.

The 28-year-old singer, who has shed a stone since starting on Dancing On Ice, said: 'The weight loss has been brilliant. I was just over eight-and-a-half stone before I started. I've always had to work really hard on my figure. I guess I've been stressed over the past few months too - lots of things have added to the weight loss.

'But I'm thinking the world is my oyster right now. The show has been brilliant - it has given me my confidence back.'

And Heidi's confidence was certainly clear to see as she took to the ice with partner Andrei Lipanov to the soundtrack of Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger.

However, Heidi wasn't the only star to impress the judges with both her skating skills and her costume last night.

Hollyoaks starlet Jorgie Porter was dressed in a quirky secretary outfit, showing off her slender figure in a blue mini skirt and short-sleeve polka dot skirt.

Despite struggling with a certain lift in rehearsal, where Matt thrusts Jorgie into the air and perches her bottom on the palm of his hand, the couple nailed their number.

Referring to the correct execution of the lift, Jorgie said: 'I think I was saved by my knickers.'

At the beginning of the act, her hair was tied up in a bun before she unpinned it and shook it loose.

Speaking of his partner, Matt said: 'I have to thank Jayne and Chris for giving me my ultimate fantasy and skating with a secretary.'

Louie Spence praised the pair, saying: 'It was fast, fun and fabulous! It was jam-packed with choreography. It was so complete, I don't know where we're going to go with you?'

And her performance to the Dolly Parton classic 9 to 5 earned Jorgie, 21, an impressive 21.5 out of 30, making her level pegging with Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden on the scoreboard.
For their debut performance in previous weeks, Matthew actually beat Jorgie by two points after receiving 20.5 - but they weren't in direct competition as they performed in separate episodes.

Fellow panellist Katarina Witt, who gave them their top solo judge score of 7.5, added: 'The time flies by watching you perform. You have the whole package!'

Meanwhile, Matthew was hot on her tail with his disco dancing to Night Fever.

The former Soapstar Superstar contestant, who skated with Nina Ulanova, perhaps had an unfair advantage after having toured in a theatre production of Saturday Night Fever for a year.

The couple had also been struggling with a particular lift, in which Matthew flips Nina upside down.

He said: 'I was very nervous, but it (the lift) was right at the beginning, so we got it out the way.'

Robin Cousins, who awarded them an 8, said: 'If you cut the camera view off above the knee, you couldn't tell which feet belonged to the celebrity and which to the professional.'

Meanwhile, Katarina went a little red saying he looked sexy, but Louie said it lacked spark.

Despite Corey Feldman landing at the bottom of the scoreboard with 8, it was Mark Rhodes who was voted off the show after ending up in the skate-off with Charlene Tilton.

Dancing on Ice star Heidi Range says she's skating through the pain of split from fiancé

'My life has been turned upside down': Dancing on Ice star Heidi Range says she's skating through the pain of split from fiancé

She's rarely seen without a smile on her face.

But Dancing On Ice star Heidi Range says her life was turn upside down when she split from fiancé Dave Berry six weeks ago.

She has spoken for the first time about the end of her eight-year relationship.

Skating on: Dancing on Ice star Heidi Range says the ITV show has helped her get over her split with fiancé Dave Berry

The Sugababes singer, 28, says the ITV show has helped her get through the emotional time.

'The end of last year was awful,' she told the Sunday Mirror.

'We’re still great friends and I saw him last week... but it’s hard. Dancing On Ice has got me through it. It’s given me a new lease of life.'

Heidi, had been engaged to Dave, 33, over New Year in 2009.

She added: 'My life’s been turned upside down and I don’t know what is going to happen.

'I’m thinking about a solo album, I’m thinking about TV presenting, I’m thinking the world is my oyster right now. For 10 years every part of my life has been planned. It’s been in the diary. It’s exciting to be making a fresh start.

'This show has been brilliant. It’s given me confidence and I’ve got my groove back.'

She revealed that even the couple's closest friends didn't know about the split until it was made public.

The star has lost more than a stone since preparation began for the and fits into a size six jeans.

'The weight loss has been brilliant,' she said.

'I was just over eight-and-a-half stone before I started. I’m 5ft 2in and I’ve always had to work really hard on my figure.

'Now I’m more toned than ever. I see my personal trainer three times a week, on top of the skate training.”

Four days before Heidi's first show, her partner Sylvain Longchambon was injured and had to be replaced by Andrei Lipanov.

She said the pair skated so differently and it was difficult to get used to her new partner, but she is now feeling a lot more confident.

And there has been plenty of injuries along the way.

'I’ve had a bone pop on my wrist, a bone pop out in my ribs and I’ve pulled a muscle in my bum this week,' Heidi said.

'They’ve had to pop the bones back in, which was uncomfortable, and I’m covered in bruises but I’m loving every minute.

'I don’t want the experience to end. I hope I can do the tour and it can continue for a year.”

The ORIGINAL Sugababes back together recording a new album

The ORIGINAL Sugababes back together recording a new album

Mutya Buena
The current Sugababes members are on an indefinite break... but there’s big news from the original ‘98 line-up.The rumours are true – Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy are back together and they have already started work on a new album.
The girls were in an Ealing recording studio last week working on a new track written by Brit Award winner Emeli Sandé and producer Naughty Boy, and apparently it reeks of the early days of the band.
The track is called Love Like This and the lyrics talk about an elephant in the room – apt after the band’s rocky past with loads of line-up changes.

Part of the lyrics go: “Won’t hold my breath again, I still remember when I gave you my heart and it turned out irrelevant. Back on the medicine, back in the thick of it, it’s here in the room but we don’t talk about the elephant.”
My insider tells me: “The song is about not being used to being loved because you have been hurt so many times before, and that you think you have been loved before but in reality you haven’t. The girls are very much back to their soulful roots but this time around it’s far more innovative. They’ve recorded more tracks too – and they’re working hard to get a body of new work.
“Siobhán has left her job in the City and they are concentrating on getting material together for an album. They are very dedicated and it’s working well.”

The plan after they have enough songs for an album is to bag a deal helped by new manager Felix Howard, co-writer of debut single Overload. Three major labels are interested.
But I hear Keisha, who left the group in September 2009, wants to get her solo material released before they give things a go as a band.
Meanwhile Heidi Range, who is competing in ITV1’s Dancing on Ice, told me the current Sugababes – Heidi, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen – have no plans to record together. But they haven’t officially split and are firm friends.
“The Sugababes have got no plans for anything at the moment,” Heidi said. “Nothing. It’s a break. There are no plans at all for the future. I’ve loved having some time out from the band.”
Say what you like about the line-up changes. But the one thing the ‘Babes have always put first is the music. I can’t wait to have the originals back in action. Hurry up!

The hip-hop star, 24, has been asked to front a new talent show for Sky TV.

It’s based on the same format as The X Factor but focuses on urban talent.

Heidi Range can't stop grunting on Dancing On Ice

Dancing On Ice contestant Heidi Range has admitted her skating performances are not exactly music to the ears - because she cannot stop grunting.

The 28-year-old Sugababes singer has revealed she is the Maria Sharapova of the rink as sounds spill from her lips due to the exertion of routines.

Range said the "manly grunts" and yelps often surprise her professional partner, Andrei Lipanov, during rehearsals, and she is glad she has no microphone.

"We've been trying some lifts, really high ones, this week and I'm shaking like a leaf during them, screaming and making random noises - I'm shocked by the noises I make," she said.

"Some of them are quite manly grunts, and sometimes I sound like my little dog, Betty."

The star has already amassed an array of injuries from the ITV1 show and is taking multi-vitamins and anti-inflammatories with ice packs to hand.

"I had a bone come out of my wrist, a bone come out of my ribs and pulled a muscle in my bum, but nothing serious. The wrist was when I fell on to my hand, but the rib and the bum are from the lifts.

"The lifts are hard - even though the guy is holding you, you have to be so strong to hold on to the position. That's why I've been going to the gym to try and keep my strength."

The self-confessed "scaredy cat" said she is looking forward to showing off her latest moves in Sunday's classic movie-themed show.

"I love my new routine, and the theme of it. It went really well today in rehearsal, and if I perform it as well as I did in rehearsal, I will be really pleased," she said.

Fellow Sugababes Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen will be at the rink on Sunday to cheer on Range, who split from TV presenter fiance Dave Berry late last year.

Range admitted she was hugely disappointed to be put in the skate-off opposite Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere in the first show.

"I was gutted, I really was. I've been training for so long and you get to the first show, and that's when the excitement starts," she said.
"I don't want it to end, I genuinely love it. It's exhausting and terrifying, but I would do it for the rest of the year if I could. It's one of the best things I've ever done."
