British girl trio Sugababes pops back onto the scene and is ready for battle with their glorious comeback tune "Freedom" that will be formally released as a single in Europe in the next few weeks. Get a quick peek at the new "dark" buzz version of the music video after the break.
Sugababes' solid new teaming of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen has been working feverishly in the studio to lay down new tracks for their new record with the intent to recapture the Sugababes essence of edgy, sexy and melodic vocal pop. Produced by The Invisble Men (who created Jessie J's bareknuckle "Do It Like A Dude" among others) and Parker & James, "Freedom" is a great step forward with its gritty versus and joyous, sunburst chorus that has hit, hit, hit written all over it.
The stylish "dark" music video for "Freedom" is a great reflection of the song's gritty undertones and the trio's fighting spirit. Set in a blue-lit underground club, the ladies work their way through the sweaty dance crowd and take control with their fists in their air. They sing, "Tonight is the night that we break the speed of light. So stand up, come alive, liberate yourself 'cause freedom starts tonight. Stand up!" That's right, folks. Sugababes is back and you better pay attention.
