BLUE are to sing for Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
The boyband who consist of Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costas and Lee Ryan - stole the hearts of every teenage girl in land when they released their debut single in 2001 - but sadly split in 2005.

After reforming in 2009, Blue are set to come back with a bang by signing up to represent their country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with their tune I Can.

So what’s going on there then you ask?

Well, just when we thought The X Factor duo, Jedward, would be up for the gig – it seems the Euro bosses went and changed their minds.

John and Edward Grimes were supposed to be competing against other UK acts Nikki Kavanagh, The Vard Sisters, Don Mescall and a new group signed to record label EMI for a place on that famous stage.

And in 2009, Sugababes star Jade Ewan, crooned for the country but failed to bring the competition home.

And now for the first in the shows history (56 years), the public will not get to decide which act will sing for Britain.

To avoid the dreaded low scoring points verdict yet again – the peeps at the BBC have taken matters into their own hands by getting the popular group on board.
