London's Jacques Townhouse | 19.07.2011

Former Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan launched her solo career at the ultra trendy Jacques Townhouse last night, performing tracks from her debut LP. The singer, who was controversially kicked out of her own group in 2009, has kept a relatively low profile since then, but in her own words, is "better not bitter'"
She wasn't wrong, as vocally Keisha is Stronger than ever before. In front of a celeb filled crowd, Buchanan delivered three brand new tracks - Fearless, Carried Sway and Beautiful Mess - from her upcoming album, which is out later this year.
Her foray into solo stardom was met with a positive response as it's no easy feat performing Adele's Rolling In The Deep, but Keisha pulled it off with the right amount of soul, passion and conviction.
Other highlights were a Sugababes medley of fan favourites, including Overload and Push The Button, which reminded us exactly why Sugababes 4.0 just aren't quite the original Sugababes.
The night also included a mash up of Cyndi Laupers' Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with Beyoncé's Run The World - where Keisha cheekily replaced a Queen B lyric with, wait for it... "none of these 'babes' can fade me", proving she's still as sassy as ever.
