Sugababes singer Heidi Range and her ex-fiancee Dave Berry are still ''very good friends'' despite their split.
The couple were due to marry in early 2012 but called time on their eight-year relationship last autumn after growing apart, but the radio-and-TV presenter insists he and Heidi are still close.
When asked if they just drifted apart, he said: ''Yeah, it's just one of those things. But we're very good friends. I'm still supporting 100 per cent (in everything she does). I like to know she's alright.''

The former couple last saw each other at the National Television Awards in London last month and Dave - who co-hosts The Capital Breakfast radio show with George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Lisa Snowdon - admits it was great to see Heidi again.
In an interview with more! magazine, he said: ''We had a drink and a catch-up, which was great because we're both so busy. Then I had to leave early to get a good night's sleep and we went our separate ways.''

Heidi and Dave got engaged during a holiday to India in 2009 and the 'Freak Like Me' singer had even picked out a wedding dress before they broke up.

Sugababe Heidi Range talks about her Dancing On Ice departure, the live tour and heading home to Liverpool

SUGABABE Heidi Range said today she won’t be hanging up her skates just yet despite being voted off Dancing On Ice.
The Liverpool star admitted she was “gutted” her time on the ITV1 show had come to an end after losing a solo skate-off against skier Chemmy Alcott.
But her time in the rink is far from over as she gets ready to join skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean at Liverpool’s ECHO arena in May.
She also told the ECHO she was looking forward to heading straight back to Liverpool for cups of tea and hot baths at her mum’s house.
Heidi, from Aintree, said: “I’m really going to miss it but I had to go at some point. I’ve loved every minute of doing Dancing On Ice. It’s been such a special experience.

“It’s hard to explain but everyone on the show says the same thing, it takes over your life. So I won’t know what to do with myself this week.
“I’m going to come home for a few days and chill at my mum’s for a little bit. But I’m going back this weekend to support Jen [Ellison].”
Heidi vowed to continue practising so she doesn’t disappoint her Liverpool fans who will watch her at the same venue where she performed with her Sugababes bandmates.
X Factor singer Chico and reigning Dancing on Ice champion Sam Attwater will also go on tour.

She said: “I can’t wait. It’s going to be amazing. I’m so excited the tour is coming to Liverpool, that will be the highlight for me.
“Even when I perform with the band it’s always special performing at home. The crowds up north go for it more. In London they tend to play it a bit cool.”
Heidi and her partner Andrei Lipanov danced to her band’s hit Push The Button on Sunday. The couple scored 17.5, which was the lowest of the night.
Heidi and freerunning founder Sébastien Foucan were voted off by head judge Robin Cousins after the three celebrities with the fewest public votes had to perform a solo routine comprising 23 skills.
The 28-year-old said: “The fans have been brilliant. It’s an achievement to stay in for this long when you’ve been bottom of the leaderboard.
“There was pressure because that was one of our biggest songs. Jade [Ewen] was there so I wanted to a good performance for my bandmates and for our fans.”
Heidi also joked she may have to rethink her more conservative Sugababe outfits after her costumes during the show included a red cropped top and hotpants and gold catsuit.
Dancing On Ice is in the city on May 1 and May 2.

Dancing On Ice contestant Heidi Range has hit back at German judge Katarina Witt after her cutting comments almost drove the Sugababe to tears on Sunday’s show.
Heidi, 27, was axed from the contest after the former Olympic champ gave her skating a final blast following weeks of barbed comments.
Katarina, a former Olympic champion, accused Heidi of relying on her professional partner Andrei to carry her around the rink in a series of lifts to hide her lack of skating ability.
The Sugababes singer was clearly hurt by the remarks, choking back tears as she faced flak from the judges, but yesterday hit back labelling the remarks “unfair”.
She told The Mirror: “It was just a point that she made every week - and I thought it was unfair because it was never made with any of the other girls.
“She never said to them, oh your partner just puts in you in the lift - with the other girls it was always acknowledged what they’d done to hold themselves and get into that lift.
“But with mine she seemed to just dismiss how much effort I’d put into them. You have got to go for it, you’ve got to hold yourself - and it is terrifying.
"It was never said to any of the other girls, he does that for you.
“So I took it quite personally, because it was a point she kept making every single week.”
Heidi received a low score of five from the German for her performance to Sugababes hit Push The Button, and found herself out of the show in a tense skate-off with skater Chemmy Alcott.
Asked why she had been singled out, Heidi added: “I don’t know why, because they are tough those lifts, and I think it’s something the audience at home want to see as well - they like the big lifts and they’re a bit part of the show.
“Me and Andre would go and practice for an hour a day off the ice so that we could get used to it and put those big elements into the routine.
“So I had worked really hard on them, and she was just like, ‘oh he just put you there’.
“If it was said to all the other girls then fine, but it wasn’t - if they fulfilled a lift then they were praised for it.
“I don’t think she’s done lifts - she’s an amazing, absolutely incredible skater, but it did get to me.
“You know yourself what effort you’ve put in.”

* Heidi will appear on the Dancing On Ice 2012 live tour, with tickets currently on sale.

Heidi Range: Will Push the Button on Dancing On Ice

Heidi Range: My ice squeam terror on Dancing On Ice

Lift could mean an early barf for Heidi

Uplifting ... Sugababe fears she will be sick if she attempts horizontal lift
Uplifting ... Sugababe fears she will be sick if she attempts horizontal lift

HEIDI Range is more nervous than usual about this week's Dancing On Ice after Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean gave her a move that makes her SICK.

The Sugababe will be spun horizontally above partner Andrei Lipanov's head — and she finds it terrifying.

The first time they tried the skyscraper lift, Heidi had to rush off the ice to vomit.
She said: "It is terrifying. We practised it once before and I threw up. Touch wood I won't be sick on his head! I just have to close my eyes."
Medics on Dancing On Ice offer sickness tablets to celebrities with spinning lifts but Heidi is hoping she will be OK without them.
She said: "While I'm in this lift it's terrifying, but it's when you come down the shock of it hits you. Luckily it's at the end of the routine so if I do feel sick I can run off."
There is one part of the dance that suits Heidi — the couple will perform to her band's hit Push The Button.
Tomorrow night's show will see the celebrities learn two solo routines, one for their main dance and another in case they are in the skate-off, so the judges can assess their skating.
For Heidi, it makes the nerves worse.

She said: "It's such a hard week this week. We've all been given a solo sequence to do in our routine and there is a different solo routine for the skate off.
"And I've got two massive lifts and it's been the toughest week so far but we've been putting the hours in and I hope we pull it off.
"It's not about winning the show, it's about staying in to enjoy it for longer. I love the whole experience."
Heidi admitted she's a "real scaredy cat" and credits partner Andrei with making her feel safe and secure on the ice.
Heidi hated seeing pal Jennifer Ellison slash her head with the blade of her own boot. It gave her a huge shock and made her worry about the risks they are all taking.
She said: "I was terrified after Jennifer's accident, especially when they showed it in slow-motion. She kicked herself in the head and it was really scary and she was shaken up after it.
"It's such a dangerous sport and I'm such a scaredy cat but I'm trying not to think about it."
Apart from popping a rib in training before the show began, Heidi has survived with relatively few injuries — just LOTS of bruises.
She said: "I'm like a bad apple underneath my clothes, I'm black and blue."

And while the bruises are unsightly, Heidi reckons her body is fitter and firmer than it's ever been.
She said: "You're exercising without realising what you're actually doing. You burn more calories skating than you do running so today I've done the same as four hours of running.
"And you do tone up, it's from holding yourself in the lifts, your arms and your stomach.
"You don't realise you're doing all this toning but you are, it's great for you."
Heidi has been showing off her newly honed body in a range of daring outfits.
She said: "I love dressing up. I think there is a lot less of the costumes than the costumes I've worn on the Sugababes!
"But they are beautiful and wonderfully made, the wardrobe department is incredible.
"I'm having a wonderful time."
