So she doesn’t blend into the puff of hotness that is the Sugababes, Jade Ewen has taken this opportunity to celebrate the Romantic Scottish poet Robert Burns’ birthday in her Celtic smalls. Well, no she hasn’t, but it’s a jolly nice coincidence. In reality she is fronting the Miss Ultimo campaign and she’s completely adorable.



Jade is the latest in the Sugababes’ game of musical band members. Maybe you haven’t been keeping up and for that we forgive you, but here is a little update. Thankfully they’ve kept the lovely blonde one a constant and swapped out the angry pierced one who had the bum operation and the teeny tiny angry one who they kicked out in the end. Does anyone even remember the ginger one?

Jade must have some serious balls, because she braved the indelible shame of representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 where the UK actually did the impossible and beat Russia to 5th place. In these glorious photos thankfully she has no balls at all, just lovely Cheryl Cole chocolate eyes and a bag full of goodies.

The worst piece of information we could have discovered about Jade is not that she has a boyfriend, which is of course stand-alone sad, but that her boyfriend is Fatboy off Eastenders. Whaaaat? For those of you that don’t watch Eastender’s, Fatboy is one of those cast members that soap bosses draft in to get down with the youf. He raps and swaggers and says things like ‘peng’ to Dot Cotton in a way that makes our eyes water in embarrassment.

Sugababes are currently working hard on their new album – the follow-up to last year’s Sweet 7 – and I caught up with one third of the gorgeous trio, Amelle Berrabah, to find out how the girls are getting on.The star has teamed up with www.showyourstyle.co.uk to raise awareness of cervical cancer. We had a natter about keeping fit and that rumoured romance with Alex Reid…

What’s your involvement with the Fight Cervical Cancer in Style campaign?

I learnt so much from the campaign last year and some of the facts were genuinely shocking. I want to help raise awareness to get women and girls out there to go to screenings and lower the risks of them getting cervical cancer. It’s trying to get people to take action now and take five minutes out of their day to go and get a screening. It’s the most common cancer in women aged between 20 and 29 – eight women a day get diagnosed and three women a day actually die. I think that’s quite shocking. It’s not the nicest thing to go through but for the sake of five minutes it can save your life.



Do you have a personal involvement with the campaign?

My sister had an abnormal scan four years ago and that was the first time I’d even heard about cervical cancer to be honest. They had to monitor her closely and she had the abnormal cells lasered off in the end. Luckily she’s is fine now but it’s just the thought of what might have been if she hadn’t gone for a screening. Over a third of girls haven’t even heard of the HPV virus and I find that really interesting. It’s not about spreading fear but it’s really trying to get people informed with the right information. It was only with Jade Goody dying, bless her soul, that people started to think ‘Oh this is dangerous’.



Do you make an effort to keep yourself fit and healthy?

I enjoying going to the gym but it’s more because you feel better about yourself. It’s good to have a nice balance – I try to eat healthy but if I want to have something that isn’t healthy then I’m going to eat it. I’m not obsessed and it’s about being happy with yourself. It’s a strange thing as being in the limelight means a slight change is noticed straight away.

I can’t wait for your new album! How are you getting on with it?

We’re in the studio and are really excited about it. It’s still early days and we haven’t got a particular sound – whatever we love, we record. Hopefully it will take about two-three months to get ready but we really want to take our time on it and make this the best album we’ve ever done. We want to work with some really cool producers and new ones too as it’s really important because then they give you the ideas that haven’t been snatched yet.



Will there be any collaborations on the album?

Tinie Tempah would be amazing and he’s very talented and quirky. He doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously. I’m a massive fan of his.



Have you got your wellies at the ready to play any of the festivals this summer?

We really want to do lots of festivals this year. We’ve already put in for V festival and I’d really like us to do Isle Of Wight again. If we could play Glastonbury that would be amazing and one to remember for years and years. I’ve never even gone, let alone performed!



I can’t see a bling ring on your finger so I’m assuming there was no truth in the rumours you were proposed to by boyfriend Tom Benn at Christmas?

No we are just chilled and will get married when the time feels right – which is not for a few years! We had our anniversary last week and when the time is right the time is right but at the minute we’re just chilled and focused on work. We’re very happy. Maybe next year, eh! We had a gorgeous meal for our anniversary.



What did Tom make of recent reports that you were ‘cosying’ up to Alex Reid on a night out?

Oh god, that was so funny because I’ve known Alex since I was eleven years old. He was my kick-boxing instructor for six years. My mum knows his mum and my brother was in the same year at school with him. I know for a fact he does not see me in that way and he knows for a fact that I didn’t see him in that way. It would almost be a bit weird if we did – it basically would be incest! I think Katie would have known straight away that it was just a rumour as she knows we’re friends.

Currently, eight women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and nearly three women die of the disease every day in the UK but the UK cervical screening programme is thought to be saving up to 4,500 lives per year. Amelle Berrabah has claimed that the Sugababes are taking their time recording their next album.

The group are currently working on the follow-up to Sweet 7, which peaked at number 14 in the UK charts upon its release last year. Speaking to showbiz journalist Dean Piper, Berrabah said that the trio are still "early" in the process.
"We're in the studio and are really excited about it," she said. "It's still early days and we haven't got a particular sound - whatever we love, we record. Hopefully it will take about two-three months to get ready but we really want to take our time on it and make this the best album we've ever done."

She continued: "We want to work with some really cool producers and new ones too as it's really important because then they give you the ideas that haven't been snatched yet."

Asked if there would be any collaborations on the LP, the 26-year-old added: "Tinie Tempah would be amazing and he's very talented and quirky. He doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. I'm a massive fan of his."

Bruno Mars was in London last night to launch his debut album 'Doo-Wops and Hooligans' in style.


The US singing sensation has taken the UK charts by storm and is currently Number One in the albums chart as well as his single 'Grenade' sitting atop the Singles chart.



Performing at the Cafe De Paris in London, Bruno performed 'Grenade' as well as his other UK Number One single, 'Just The Way You Are'. He also gave fans an amazing medley of cover versions including tracks by Nirvana and The White Stripes.



Watching on during the evening were members of The Wanted as well as Amelle from Sugababes.

She's been the face, and body, of Miss Ultimo for the past year, but this is surely Jade Ewen's sexiest shoot to date.
The 23-year-old Sugababes star sizzles as she models a variety of pretty and flirty lingerie which form part of the Miss Ultimo Valentine's collection.

As well as sticking to traditional red underwear, Jade also pays tribute to her part-Scottish roots in the Highland Fling two-piece set, featuring tartan detailing and a cute frill on the bottom.

Jade has an incredible figure thanks to her dancing background and constantly busy schedule with the Sugababes, but admits she was dubious at first about doing an underwear campaign.

She said: 'I didn’t actually think I’d ever do a lingerie campaign but I have always been a huge fan of the Miss Ultimo brand and Michelle that I simply couldn’t say no. I was really delighted to be asked to do it.'

And, since having worked with Miss Ultimo, Jade has actually put some of the knowledge she has acquired in the role to the test.

She said: 'First of all, make sure you’re wearing the rights size.

'It wasn’t until after I was appointed as ambassador of Miss Ultimo did I think I’d better get measured, and sure enough I had been wearing the wrong size.



'Wearing the right size really improves your silhouette and gives you the right support.'

Talking about her collaboration with Miss Ultimo, Jade said previously: 'I’m a total fashion addict, so being involved with a lingerie brand that’s so fashion-driven is lots of fun.'

SEXY Sugababe Jade Ewen will set pulses racing this Valentine’s Day in these hot undies created for the most romantic day of the year.
The 22-year-old singer couldn’t wait to get her kit off and slip into the new Miss Ultimo collection, out today.

In her sexiest shoot to date Jade, the “face and body” of the sizzling young lingerie brand, models Miss Ultimo’s Highland Fling, a fun and flirty tribute to her roots.
The half-Scottish Sugababe’s new range even features a cheeky tartan heart on the rear of the knickers.

Meanwhile the red-hot Cherry Drop design offers a raunchy alternative with its racy gingham print complete with cute cherry trim.

Smiling Jade reveals she can’t think of a better way to spend February 14 this year than to pop on one of the sensational sets.
“I just love the Miss Ultimo Valentine’s collection,” she says.
“It’s really pretty and fun, perfect for celebrating such a romantic day.
“And for fellas, there’s nothing quite like giving sexy underwear to say ‘I love you’ and woo your lady.”
Hopefully, modelling her new range will be a big hint to her current boyfriend, EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood, 22, who plays Walford’s wannabe wheeler-dealer Fatboy. The pair have been dating since 2009 but juicy Jade admits he has yet to summon the nerve to give her underwear.

She reveals: “My boyfriend has never been brave enough to go and buy me lingerie, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.”

According to Jade, things are going well between them.

“Ricky’s been really sweet.” she says.

“We live near each other and it’s all going well.
“He makes me smile a lot, which is always a good thing.
“He understands that I have to go away a lot with the girls and he is totally comfortable with that.”
Perhaps the loved-up pair will be getting ideas from Jade’s Sugababe bandmate Heidi Range, 27, who is due to marry her TV presenter boyfriend Dave Berry, 32, this summer. The couple will certainly have some time on their hands.
Rumours have spread that the girls were bringing out a comeback single next month.
But Jade denies that. She has Tweeted: “We are working on new material at the moment but have no plans to bring a single out for the time being.”
