The Sugababes have started working on their new album, their manager has revealed.
The group, which Heidi Range recently insisted are not splitting despite poor sales on their latest album Sweet 7, are reportedly going back in to the studio to start work on their eighth album.
The trio's manager Mark Hargreaves has now spoken out, insisting that the group are in high spirits and are working on a new record.
Hargreaves told Now: "They're a very happy group today. They can't wait to get back into the studio and bring back that feelgood factor."
The magazine also reports that their previous hit single 'Girls' recorded with former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan will be re-recorded with new member Jade Ewan's vocals, and will be used to promote US department store JC Penney.
Hargreaves said: "It's brought a massive resurgence of interest in the band over there."
Buchanan is reportedly in talks about penning a tell-all book on her time in the band.

NST Music Makers ~ Sweet 7 Review
Get it and sing happy! SUGABABES Sweet 7 (Universal Music) I DON’T know the members of this British pop girl band these days, but I guess it doesn’t matter because the music from the group sounds pretty generic. Danceable pop.
Mindless electro beats.
Lyrics oozing promises of sex.
It’s all found in this seventh album from this chameleon girl band whose brand has been around for a decade.
Amazing, isn’t it? The sleeve notes state that Sugababes now comprises Heidi Range, Amelie Berrabah and Jade Ewen.
The songs are all radio-friendly. Of the 11 tracks, Wear My Kiss is the most memorable for its use of the vocoder and the chorus: “You wanna wear my kiss/All over your body/Once you try it on, you can’t live without it.” Standouts include the sweet bubblegum pop of Sweet & Amazing and the ballad Little Miss Perfect.
While nothing from Sweet 7 reach the mashup fun of Freak Like Me, not even Sean Kingston of You’re Beautiful Girl fame on Miss Everything, the tracks are club bangers, especially She’s A Mess.
The album is great for electro-pop fans.

Keisha Buchanan - Buchanan 'Planning Tell-All Sugababes Book'

Buchanan 'Planning Tell-All Sugababes Book'
British singer KEISHA BUCHANAN is reportedly planning to lift the lid on the SUGABABES' troubles in a new tell-all book.
The group has been dogged by rumours of infighting over the years and now contains none of the founding members.
Buchanan - who starred in the original line-up with Siobhan Donaghy and Mutya Buena in 1998 - left the band last year (09) amid allegations she was forced out by the record label.
And now she's planning a book to make the band's problems public, according to Britain's Now magazine.
A source tells the publication, "Keisha's in discussions about writing a book about her time in the band. Publishers have been after her for ages, but it's only now she's seriously considering it. At the moment it's still in the initial stages, but she's very excited.
"The book will chart the highs and lows and obviously deal with the very public split last year. Keisha's always kept quiet about what really happened even though the others have spoken at length about it."
Buchanan's former bandmates Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah now front the band with new member Jade Ewen. Last month (Mar10) Buchanan teamed up with Buena and Donaghy to launch a legal challenge for the right to use the title Sugababes.

Sugababes are to perform with Slumdog Millionaire composer A. R. Rahman at the Indian Premier League Awards.
The Bollywood star and 'Jai Ho' producer will appear with the group at the grand finale of the awards show, which celebrates the cream of the crop in Bollywood talent.
"The IPL Awards is the crowning jewel to recognise the best of this season," said IPL chairman Lalit Modi.
Heidi Range tweeted her excitement about the performance earlier in the week, saying: "What started off as a really lovely morning has just been interrupted by getting injections for our trip next week, but INDIA here we come! X"
Range recently ended speculation that Sugababes were splitting up.
Sonu and the Sugababes!

The Sugababes are coming to Mumbai. This hot English female pop group from London will perform live at the IPL on April 25th. But there’s something else on their agenda, too — they will be recording with Sonu Nigam.
Sonu’s ready with three tracks that he has composed himself. He will record one of them with the Sugababes. “The tracks are totally mainstream,” says Sonu. Talking about the collaboration, he says, “Their music is really good. I did a lot of study on their kind of music and with my programming team, we’ve come up with three tracks.”
The Guinness Book of World Records has named the Sugababes as the most successful female act of the 21st century, thanks to seven UK No. 1 singles and 18 UK Top 10 hits. Sonu is naturally excited about this collaboration and he’s also enjoying his new role as a singer-cum-composer. “Until recently, I was just a singer, but now I’m really enjoying making music along with singing. I have always been interested in music, gadgets, software and now it’s coming to my help,” he says.
And since he’s going global, was there any special preparation? “I did a lot of research on the contemporary music scenario. I spent time upgrading my sound sense and I feel now I’m able to get the kind of sound which is acceptable worldover,” he says. Music apart, will the video with the Sugababes be quite a bold one? “It’s going to be very interesting for me and the Sugababes,” smiles Sonu.
