singer Heidi Range was taken to hospital on Friday, September 24 after a nasty fall left her needing stitches in her chin. The British star slipped in the shower at her home in London and was driven to a nearby hospital by concerned fiance Dave Berry with blood gushing from her wound, according to Britain's The People.

The singer's chin was stitched up and doctors ordered her to rest - prompting her to pull out of a performance at a ball for the British Olympic Association on Friday night. A source tells the publication, "Heidi had a bad fall and it was scary for a while. Dave took her to hospital."

"She was in shock and it was feared the injuries could be more severe. She was ordered to rest. She was gutted that she couldn't perform. The other girls weren't keen on going ahead without her and canceled the gig," the source adds.

ThatGrapeJuice Sugababe article and my comment

Have The Sugababes Been Dropped By Jay-Z’s Roc Nation?

Things appear to be going from bad to worse for the Sugababes. Following the dismal debut of their ‘Sweet 7′ LP, midweek figures today revealed that the album is set to crash out of #40 in its second week on the Official UK Album Chart. That doesn’t appear to be the worse of their woes though, as there is now increasing talk that the ladies were quietly dropped by production label Roc Nation last month.

Some may remember that the group signed the lucrative deal in early 2009 with the company shortly before the recording process of ‘Sweet 7′ commenced. Indeed, it was that very production deal which enabled the group, then-fronted by Keisha Buchanan, to work with US-based hitmakers such as Ne-Yo and RedOne for the proeject.

It now seems the drama and awful performance of the project on a whole left a sour taste in the mouth of Roc Nation, who are now reportedly referring to the group as ‘former clients’. The group are also no longer featured on the company’s site. Miaw!

This is crazy news if true , The Sugababes need a chance to break the US. After all the money spent on promotion , its mad to drop them straight away. If the album hasn’t done well its due to mismanagement of the leaked album and constantly putting the release date back. Remember all the tracks were already written and recorded by Keisha , and had to be rerecorded by Jade. So the albums style and content hadn’t changed , just one artist. In the US this would be of no concern as they are not widely known there. I think the Album is Fantastic and think its the best ever !

Sugababes will fold if anyone else quits

Andrei Harmsworth -Sugababes will fold if anyone else quits

The Sugababes have warned fans that their current line-up is the last throw of the dice – their band will not survive any more shake-ups.
Long-standing member Heidi Range has admitted that if current bandmates Jade Ewen or Amelle Berrabah buckle, the group would be dust.

Her comment comes just a week after a legal battle was launched by its founding members to seize the Sugababes name.

‘We’ve said if something happened again we wouldn’t carry on the band with someone else. This is it,’ said 26-year-old Range.

Ewen ousted Keisha Buchanan in a bitter pop coup at the end of last year and now the group faces a legal bid from its first line-up.

It emerged last week that Mutya Buena, Siobhan Donaghy and Buchanan have applied to the European Trademarks Authority to use the name they created in 1998.

And now new recruit Ewen has revealed she has struggled to find her footing amid all the chaos. ‘The loyal fans weren’t so willing to embrace me.'

'People shouted abuse at me in the street. I remember thinking, “Maybe I’ve made a mistake”,’ the 22-year-old told Company magazine.

And, by the sounds of things, a few fresh spats are looming if Berrabah’s public jibes about Range’s figure are anything to go by.

The 25-year-old told the fashion magazine: ‘Heidi’s always on a diet and works out all the time – she almost has to, bless her heart.’

And she kept on digging a hole for herself, adding: ‘I’d never understood that before. When I ballooned, I was like, “Heidi mate, I’m so sorry about complaining about how skinny I was!” But everyone has lumps and bumps. I’ve got cellulite, who cares?’

We’re sure Heidi feels great now, luv!
