“Hello and howay and welcome to the first meeting of The Unofficial Holly Hagan Club,” says Holly Hagan, banging a gavel and addressing an almost empty room containing only her and Sugababe Jade Ewen. “The first point of order is slagging Rita Ora right off on the Twitter.”
And so Jade Ewen has slagged Rita Ora right off on the Twitter. The former Eurovision singer and current Sugababe has today responded to comments Rita made earlier this week, where she imagined where she would have ended up career-wise had she taken up the chance to represent Britain at Eurovision in 2009.

“Imagine!” she imagined. “If I’d have stayed, it would probably have been all over for me. At best, I’d be a contestant on that diving show. Splash!? Yeah, Splash! I love that show.” We all love that show, Rita. We all love that show.
But Jade Ewen – who won the Andrew Lloyd-Webber organized star search in 2009 after Rita dropped out and also was in Splash! – has defended her career choices in what the kids are calling a ‘tweet’.
Twoot
“Easy to mock when you are enjoying success,” she said, tweetingly. “Eurovision and splash? Proud of both.”
And then she managed to claim her membership card to The Unofficial Holly Hagan Club with her follow-up: “Some manage to sleep their way to success some have morals.”
It’s not the first time that anyone has questioned Rita’s morals on Twitter. Actually, we’re just checking our spreadsheet, and it’s not even the second time. Rita’s ex- Rob Kardashian tweeted then deleted a very pointed rant about her in the aftermath of their break-up, while head of The Unofficial Holly Hagan Club (Holly Hagan) managed to whip up a full-blown Twitter spat with the star. Who will be next? We don’t know. But we basically can’t wait.
