SIX of this year's Dancing On Ice contestants have already ended up in hospital after crashes – and the series is yet to begin.

Cheesy former pop star Chesney Hawkes may miss the show's debut episode on Sunday after crocking his leg in a rink fall as he trained on New Year's Day.
Medics who assessed him yesterday have so far refused to sign him off to head back on to the ice.
And Sugababe Heidi Range's professional partner Sylvain Longchambon has pulled out of at least the first episode because of a torn bicep.
Heidi herself was rushed to A&E after fearing she had broken her wrist.
And EastEnder Laila Morse ripped muscles in her shoulder and needs surgery — but is delaying the op until after the series, defying doctors' advice.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Ellison had to go to hospital to have her leg strapped up after her kneecap was twisted as she attempted to do the splits.

The sixth victim was Keith Chegwin who had to leave the series months ago when he smashed his collar bone and ribs at his first ever training session.
Corrie's Andy Whyment, who has so far escaped with just bruises, revealed yesterday: "We've been told this is the worst start to a series they've ever had."
He added: "Wherever you look, someone is seriously injured."
Actress Laila, who plays Walford's Mo Slater, is in such agony with her shoulder she admits she hopes she is soon BOOTED from the ITV1 competition. She revealed to TV Biz: "I want to do it for a couple of weeks and go out.
"It's constant 24/7 pain. It's like having very bad toothache that never goes away. After I've done the show, I'll have the operation straight away."
But she says she has refused to take medical advice to have the op now, She said: "It's a massive risk but I don't want to let anyone down."

Singer Heidi felt the same when she feared she had smashed her wrist.
She said yesterday: "I had my bone come out of my wrist and it happened to my ribs as well.
"I was doing a flying cartwheel and I heard my rib go and then the same thing happened to my wrist.
"I was sobbing in the hospital because I thought I couldn't do the show because they thought my wrist might be broken."
Heidi — who will perform with substitute professional Andrei Lipanov in Sunday — also said she feels lost without "security blanket" Sylvain.
And she revealed the French charmer could be out for the entire series.
She said: "Sylvain has ruptured his bicep so he's had to have surgery. They thought he would be able to come back to the show but now they're not sure." Jennifer Ellison — who hurt her knee — admits she's so worried about accidents she wants to take out life insurance in case she DIES.
The former Brookside actress said she fears for the future of her 23-month-old son Bobby if something goes wrong.

She admitted: "Now I'm a mum and I have a baby who will be two in February — that is scary.
"When I was younger I was a little daredevil but now I'm a mum I'm proper careful. I really should have life insurance now.
"It's always in the back of my mind. I'd love to attempt harder jumps but I'm always worried about falling and not being here to look after Bobby."

There have been a slew of less serious accidents not requiring hospital visits.
Diet and fitness guru Rosemary Conley pulled her groin during a high kick — which means her routine on Sunday may have to be re-choreographed by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Meanwhile Dallas actress Charlene Tilton has hurt her shoulder and Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere was forced to pop his own finger back in after dislocating it.
Dancing On Ice kicks off on Sunday night on ITV1 at 6.30pm.
