6 Sep 2011
The Sugababes are the latest act to be announced for a mini pop festival in Glasgow on September 30.
Jade, Amelle and Heidi will be heading to the SECC later this month to perform a selection of their hits, including Push the Button, Freak Like Me and Girls.
X Factor cheeky chappie Olly Murs has also been confirmed for the the Clyde 1 Live show.
The gig brings together some of the biggest chart acts who regularly feature on the Glasgow-based radio station.
Pixie Lott and MOBO Awards nominee Jessie J had already been confirmed for the event.
Siobhan Crampsey, Head of Events at gig organisers Bauer Media, said “Olly and the Sugababes are fantastic additions to the bill, and we couldn’t be more pleased about how the show is shaping up.
“We’ve done no less than 11 shows with Sugababes in the past and, each time, they totally exceed our expectations – both in terms of the quality of their vocals and the passion and effort they put into their performances.
“Olly is just one of those artists who is the complete package – he can sing, write, dance and he engages the audience in a really genuine way.”
Tickets for Clyde 1 Live – priced £22.50 (plus booking fee) – are already on sale over the counter from the SECC box office, by phone on 0844 395 4000 or online at www.ticketsoup.com.
They can also be purchased via www.gigsinscotland.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk
Organisers say Clyde 1 Live is not recommended for pre-school age children and all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
