There will be plenty for the Boys and the Girls at this year’s Manchester Pride Big Weekend.
For I can reveal that headlining the mainstage music event over the August Bank Holiday weekend will be chart-topping star Pixie Lott, Sugababes and hunky boyband Blue.
Pixie, aged just 20, shot to fame when her debut single, Mama Do, went to number one and her follow-up Boys and Girls did the same.
Meanwhile fellow headliners Blue head to Pride for the first time since the band, including Moss Side’s Simon Webbe, reunited as a foursome earlier this year.
They went on to represent the UK at Eurovision with their comeback single I Can.

The poptastic line-up is completed by Sugababes, who continue to churn out the hits in their third incarnation who currently member Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen.

Other acts featuring over Pride’s 21st anniversary weekend, which runs from August 26 to 29, will include Aussie ‘trolley-dolly’ Pam-Ann with her unique comedy act, ’80s pop vixens Toyah Wilcox and Hazel Dean as well as new girl band Soundgirl, fresh from supporting Justin Bieber on his UK tour, the fantastic Patrick Wolf and Manchester favourites Heather Peace and former Corrie star Bruno Langley.
The music will continue with a variety of acts including Cosmo Jarvis, Denise Black and the Loose Screw, Rowetta, Bucks Fizz, Horse, and Angie Brown.
Jackie Crozier, festival director, says: “We are over the moon that Pixie Lott will be headlining Manchester Pride this year. She is fresh, fun and talented – keeping very much in line with our ‘Loud and Proud’ mantra for 2011. In addition to Pixie, the other acts we have just announced are all brilliant.”
