Ex-Sugababe Keisha Buchanan announces solo gig
Former Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan has announced details of her first solo gig.

Buchanan, who was the last original member of the girlband, left in September 2009 before they released of their 'Sweet 7' album. She was hastily replaced by former UK Eurovision entrant Jade Ewen.

The singer's first solo gig will be at the launch of London’s Jacques Townhouse on July 19. She told the Daily Star: “I’m a bit nervous about going solo, but I’m still really excited for people to hear my stuff.”

Meanwhile, her former band have been working on new material. A snippet of new track ’Freedom’ appears in an advert for mobile phone company Nokia. To see the advert, scroll down below.

Speaking to Radio 2, band member Amelle Berrabah said: “We're really excited. We haven't got a sound yet. We've been asked a few times what sort of sound we're going for, but it's too early to decide. I've got two favourite ones at the moment and they're completely different. One is quite poppy and the other couldn't be less poppy if we tried."

“It's a nice process and we're really focused and really looking forward to hopefully a great album and everyone else enjoying it. We definitely want to take our time, and if it isn't ready then we're going to keep working and not release it until we're 100% happy with it.”
