Abbie Lea Drew now recording after winning competition to sing with The Sugababes

Cirencester teenager to record with music producer

A TEENAGER from Cirencester is celebrating after being selected to record a song with an up–and-coming music producer.
Abbie Lea Drew was approached by Cheltenham producer Daniel Bryer who has written a song for her to record this Sunday and will hopefully be aired on Total Star radio later this month.
Music student Daniel, 21, is setting up his own record label after winning a national songwriting competition and is looking to sign music artists.
The Standard told last year how Abbie had won a nationwide competition to sing with the Sugababes and then went on to win a £500 prize at Swindon talent show Bushwackers Text Factor.
The 16-year-old rising star said: "Daniel approached me after seeing me on Youtube and he sent me over some demo tracks, which I have started learning.
"I'm not really nervous about it as I've learnt to cope with it now. I have entered the X Factor and hoping to get a call back some time this month or next month.
"And I'm also doing some modelling work I've already done some photo shoots. Hopefully I'll get spotted but you've just got to be at the right place at the right time. ."
Anyone interested in booking Abbie to perform at their events can call 01285 655289. Fans can also follow Abbie on her Facebook page.
