Highest new entry in Album Charts for Sweet7
Lady Gaga claims top album and single for Telephone
The Telephone video has been viewed 22 million times on YouTube
Eccentric pop star Lady Gaga has secured a chart double with both her single and album reaching the number one spots.
The single Telephone, featuring Beyonce, climbed 11 places in the chart, while her album The Fame jumped four to return to the number one spot.
The success comes amid controversy over the Telephone video, which has a mass murder storyline and a lesbian kiss.
Last week's number one and two, Rhianna and Tinie Tempah, both fell one place.
Justin Bieber is this week's number four.
Telephone is Lady Gaga's fourth single to reach the UK number one spot, while her album has claimed the top spot three times within the last year.
In the album charts, the cast of hit high school drama Glee climbed to second spot, while Boyzone's Brother was at number three and Gorillaz's Plastic Beach was at four.
There were two new entries in the album chart, the highest of which was Sweet 7 by Sugababes at 14.
The other new entry was White Stripes' Under Great White Northern Lights which went in at number 25.
