Ex-Hollyoaks star Emma Rigby sizzles in a slinky white dress as she enjoys her big moment at premiere of new film Plastic

She made her name as troubled teen Hannah Ashworth in Hollyoaks before leaving in 2010.

And now it looks like Emma Rigby is bound for Hollywood as she enjoyed the big London premiere of her new film Plastic.

The pretty blonde, 24, certainly cut a slinky figure in her white fringed Tom Ford dress and gold high heels.

She wore her long hair gelled back with dramatic contouring make-up to highlight her cheekbones.

Joining Emma outside the Odeon West End were her co-stars Will Poulter and Ed Speleers.

Plastic, directed by Julian Gilbey is a British comedy crime caper about a group of students who end up in trouble with a crime boss.

They are given two weeks to raise £2million, leading them to pull off credit card cons in Miami, Florida.

As the leading lady in the film, Emma wanted to share the glory with her mother, who joined her on the red carpet.

Despite the tube strike in the capital, hundreds of fans had turned out to see the stars on the red carpet.

Also in attendance was Celebrity Big Brother star Casey Batchelor who showed off her curves in a fitted black jumpsuit.

Also representing the Big Brother 'family' from many years earlier is BB7 star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, who left little to the imagination in a plunging black mini dress.

The Only Way Is Essex star Danielle Armstrong showcased her figure in a powder blue bodycon number, while her co-star Jasmin Walia opted for a yellow cropped top and multi-coloured mini skirt.

Jasmin arrived on the arm of Ex Of The Beach star Ross Worswick, fuelling speculation they are dating.

Meanwhile, EastEnders star Kate MacGowan looked eye-catching in red, while TV presenter Lizzie Cundy wore a nautical-style shift dress. 

Plastic is due for release in UK cinemas on April 30.

She’s a member of girl group the Sugababes.

But Amelle Berrabah opted for a new career direction as she filmed a lesbian kiss for her role in the British film Plastic. 

In one scene she is seen passionately kissing glamour girl Chloe Goodman, 23.

The 29-year-old plays a small part in the action-crime-comedy film, which is described as Catch Me If You Can meets The Italian Job. 

It follows lead characters Sam and Fordy who steal from the wrong man. They find themselves threatened by a sadistic gangster and need to raise £2million and pull off a daring diamond heist to clear their debt.

Amelle told The Sun: ‘We were both quite nervous as there was a whole room full of people watching,
We were constantly asking for balm so we could make sure our lips were nice and soft for each other.’

But she added that she is unlikely to kiss girls on a regular basis, saying: ‘I’m straight. If I was going to be bisexual I’d definitely have known after that kiss.’

The film, which is out later this year, also stars Lily Allen’s brother Alfie and Downton Abbey actor Ed Speleers. 

Meanwhile, Amelle told No White Noise that she was also seeking parts in other films.

She said:  ‘I’m also talking to some people for another film that’s more of a main character type, so, I’m trying to see if I can even fit it in, but I really, really want to do it. 

'It’s definitely something I’m interested in, but my passion and my love and my number one is definitely singing and performing.’

The star, who is of Moroccan descent, replaced Sugababes founding member Mutya Buena in December 2005. 

Three original members of the group, Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan, have since founded a new group, MKS.

SUGABABE AMELLE BERRABAH puckers up for a steamy lesbian kiss in her first-ever film role.

The singer locked lips with busty glamour girl CHLOE GOODMAN to film a club scene for new Brit flick Plastic.

The smooch marks a departure for the girl-group member known for hits such as About You Now.

She plays a lesbian in the sexy crime thriller, which also stars LILY ALLEN’s brother ALFIE and Downton Abbey actor ED SPELEERS.

Jade Ewen will play Clara, Cedric Neal will play Sportin’ Life, Golda Rosheuvel will play Serena and Leon Lopez will play Jake in the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, alongside the previously announced cast which includes Rufus Bonds Jr and Nicola Hughes who will play the title roles.

Celebrated as a landmark piece of American theatre, the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess will run from 17th July to 23rd August, directed by Timothy Sheader, with a book adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and a musical score adapted by Diedre L. Murray.

Jade Ewen has previously appeared in Tonight’s The Night (UK Tour), Whistle Down The 

Wind (Aldwych Theatre) and Disney’s The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre). Jade is also a 

former member of Sugababes and in 2009 represented the UK in the Eurovision Song 

Contest performing It’s My Time written by Andrew Lloyd Webber. 

 

Cedric Neal is an American actor whose stage credits include After Midnight (Brooks 

Atkinson Theatre, Broadway), the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (Broadway) and Dreamgirls 

(Signature Theatre) for which he was awarded the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding 

Supporting Actor. Cedric played the role of Kennard Royce in the television series Friday 

Night Lights. 

 

Leon Lopez is a British actor whose stage credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK 

tour), Rent (Duke of York’s), Tick, Tick… BOOM! (Duchess Theatre) and Piaf (Donmar 

Warehouse). Leon also played the long-running role of Jerome Johnson in Brookside.

Jade stars as Dee Dee in Tonight's the Night

 JADE Ewen caught the nation’s attention when she sang an Andrew Lloyd Webber song at Eurovision in 2009 and finished fifth (the UK’s not done better since).
She became properly famous when she was added to the tumultuous Sugababes line-up later that year. She is currently starring in Ben Elton’s musical of Rod Stewart hits, Tonight’s the Night.
Here’s five things we learnt chatting to Jade...

They’re over
“I think, for now, it is the last of the Sugababes – but you can’t say anything for definite. It’s not like we can’t stand each other, it has just run its course.
“There was so much drama – the old line-up trying to reform – that the music got lost.”

Learning Rod Stewart songs is easy
“They are really easy because you don’t realise how much you know. You subconsciously absorb them because they are in the background of your life, like in adverts.
“I didn’t even realise how much I knew until we were in rehearsals.”

Overnight fame is surreal

“I was in a taxi and on the radio a DJ was talking about ‘how do you feel about the new member of the Sugababes’.
“They were talking about me. I really wanted to say to the taxi driver ‘that’s me!’”

Succeeding at Eurovision can be ‘virtually impossible’
“It is so hard. Even though the songs can be great, it’s political voting.
“The year I did it, they (the UK team) were really supportive and pulled out all the stops. I was quite lucky. But if you haven’t got that behind you, it is virtually impossible.”

But afterwards, nothing is scary again
“It is the most nervous I have ever been. Because that was one of my first experiences, it makes everything else seem pretty easy in comparison.”

HEIDI, 30, insists she wasn't sad when the Sugababes came to an end and says throwing herself into stage show Happy Days: A New Musical has helped her rediscover her love of theatre and build her fitness.

FORMER Sugababe Heidi Range has ruled out a reunion with the band, insisting she’s enjoying life away from the group that made her a star.

Heidi, 30, who is heading to Scotland with stage show Happy Days: A New Musical, said: “I wasn’t sad when it came to an end.

“I was in the band for 11 years and I feel really lucky I was part of it for that long but I was definitely ready for the break.

“Sugababes took over my life and that’s what controlled every day, every week, every month. I just wanted a bit of time to myself really. We’ve not really done anything together for about two years.”

Liverpool-born Heidi certainly doesn’t fancy doing TV show The Big Reunion that brought fellow Scousers Atomic Kitten back together last year.

She said: “The Big Reunion isn’t something I’d want to do at the moment. I know they say never say never but I’m not interested just now.

“Jade is doing her musical Tonight’s The Night and I believe Amelle is in the studio working on solo material.

“We don’t speak and don’t really phone each other but we send each other tweets and messages and I see the girls at some things.

“I’ve not seen Amelle since May, when both of them came to my 30th birthday.”

Leaving the group gave Heidi the opportunity to pursue her first love – live theatre. For the last five months she’s been touring with the Happy Days show as Pinky, the sassy love interest of The Fonz.

She said: “I’ve done theatre before when I was a lot younger, before Sugababes, and I loved performing in front of a live audience every night.

“It’s exciting to go back to that. It’s something I wanted to do. I was waiting for the right show and right part.

“What I loved about this role is that I get to sing different styles of song and show off my voice, whereas in the band you get one voice.”

After five weeks of rehearsals, Heidi threw herself into the tour, which she says has already helped to build her fitness.

She said: “I definitely feel my stamina has improved as the shows have gone on. I’ve not been to the gym yet and will need to start doing that but we’re doing a lot of promotion so I’ve not had the time.

“I work out with a trainer when I’m at home but I do feel I’ve lost a bit of weight on tour.

“You have to look after yourself and your voice and I drink lots of water, eat lots of greens and take honey.”

Despite performing for the likes of the late Nelson Mandela with Sugababes, Heidi admitted she still suffers from nerves every night.

She said: “I get them every single show but once I’ve got the first scene done it’s better. I had nerves when we first started making music as the Sugababes but we kept on doing the same numbers so they disappeared.”

Heidi, who would love to see the show being put on in London’s West End, is hoping to bring her two pugs and her sister to spend time with her
in Glasgow.

And she’s also planning to do a bit of partying while she’s in the city.

She said: “The last time I was here was to watch Kings of Leon with my pals.

“We thought it would be fun to jump on the train and make a few days of it.

“It was raining so I wore my hood up and only a few people recognised me.”
