'In addition, both my mum and sister have experienced cancer scares. I understand the importance of raising awareness about the disease.'

The musical adaptation of Roddy Doyle’s novel The Commitments  premiered at London’s Palace theatre.
The show is set in Dublin in the 1980s and tells the story of a band manager, Jimmy Rabbitte and a group of aspiring musicians who get together in the hope of forming a band.
Jimmy wants to manage the world’s greatest soul band and holds auditions at his parents’ house in the hope of discovering the next soul idols, who he names The Commitments.
It is hoped the musical will achieve the same success as the 1991 film adaptation, which was voted ‘the best Irish film of all time’ in a 2005 poll and won BAFTAS including Best Film and Best Director.

Fashion (Suga)babes! Bandmates Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan enjoy a night out at Matthew Williamson's Fashion Week after-party

Two thirds of the girl band - formally known as the Sugababes - hit the town last night for the Matthew Williamson London Fashion Week afterparty, sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, at The Box in Soho.
Making sure to keep up with the fashion pack, Mutya Buena chose an eye-catching blue trouser suit for the night out, teamed with a black vest.

Bandmate Keisha Buchanan opted for a pretty white cropped jumper teamed with on-trend printed trousers and carried an electric blue clutch bag for the occasion.
Despite the autumn chill, both girls chose to go without a jacket to keep out the cold.
Third band member Siobhán Donaghy was nowhere to be seen on the night out, perhaps preferring a quiet night in to an evening  at the notorious nightspot.

It was not the girls’ first appearance at the fashion event. Earlier in the week all three of the band sat on the front row at the PPQ show at Somerset House on Friday.
On Sunday, Keisha watched Cara Delevingne take to the catwalk at the Sister by Sibling show.
The girls were guests at the party, hosted by Sienna Miller, who earlier in the day had sat on the front row of her long-time friend Williamson’s show.
Sienna is something of a muse for the Welsh fashion designer, regularly wearing his designs to red carpet events, including the BAFTA Television Awards in May, where she was nominated for a Best Actress award for her performance in The Girl.

It was a busy night for the actress and fashion icon.
After taking her seat in the front row at Williamson’s Spring/Summer show headed to a dinner hosted by U.S Vogue editor Anna Wintour, attended by Victoria Beckham, Sophie Dahl, Daisy Lowe and Grayson Perry
The mother of one then headed to the party at the Box, wearing an eye-catching mini-dress and ankle boots for the event.

Heidi meeting the rest of the cast from Happy Days The Musical

We had a fab 'meet and greet' with the cast and creative team last weekend. Here's a sneaky pic of the team... We're already one big family - happy days!

The trio were making an appearance on BBC Breakfast in Manchester just days after new track Flatline failed to break into the UK Top 40 – a potential death knell in the fickle world of pop.
Despite the setback, all three girls – reformed and redefined as MKS – admitted in a post on their official Twitter account that they had risen at the crack of dawn in order to prepare for their promotional slot on the show.

‘Morning tweets! Been up since 5am getting ready for BBC Breakfast :-) Tune in ! Xx,’ they tweeted shortly before taking their seats on the sofa alongside hosts Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid.
Their efforts had clearly paid off – with Keisha, 28, leading the way in a stylish patterned playsuit, black leather jacket and red peep-toe heels that revealed a distinctive, ice-blue shade of polish on her nails.
Flame-haired Siobhan, 29, also stood out in a stylishly mismatched outfit comprised of patterned jacket and floral print leggings stitched in red, black and lilac hues.

The look was completed by a pair of distinctive blue heels, while her make-up – reduced to discreet, natural shades – kept the attention firmly fixed on her clothes.
While her two band-mates went for loud prints and playsuits, Mutya, 28, chose a comparatively conventional pair of skinny jeans and dark blue pumps, while a burgundy polka-dot shirt gave her look an added wash of colour.
The three girls – founding members of girl-group Sugababes – reunited in 2011 to record a new album under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan.

Having enlisted the help of former All Saint Shaznay Lewis, Emeli Sande and talented singer-songwriter Devonte Hynes, much was expected from the band – whose last release together came in 2001.
Hynes – who records under the pseudonym Blood Orange – had previously helped reinvigorate the otherwise flagging career of Solange Knowles, who’s critically acclaimed True EP he co-wrote and produced.
Despite that success, MKS debut Flatline – which he had a hand in writing – limped to number 50 on the UK chart following a week of disappointing sales.
The band has insisted they will persevere with plans to release an album in 2014, with Keisha claiming they still have high expectations.
‘We are taking this seriously. We’d love to break America and do a world tour,’ she told The Daily Star. ‘It’s a new day. We want to concentrate on the future and reclaim what we lost. We are very much back as a group for good.’
The band plan to release their new album in 2014
