There's always that awkward moment when you arrive at an event and realise you're overdressed.
But on Thursday evening, Amelle Berrabah found herself in a rather embarrassing situation when she turned to the Raymond Weil Pre-Brit Awards dinner and 20th anniversary celebration of War Child under-dressed.
Joined by stars such as Alexandra Burke, Oritse Williams of JLS and Chip, the 28-year-old was left a little red faced as she clearly didn't get the memo.

Held at The Mosaica in London, Amelle took to the red carpet in a ruffled khaki shirt, skin tight navy disco pants and a pair of trainers.
The Sugababes singer wore her half-shaven hair down in loose curls as she sported a large Parker jacket with an orange hoodie.
Holding her white iPhone in one hand, Berrabah finished her casual look with a khaki bag.

Stepping out to make an impression, Alexandra Burke, 24, wore a bottle green mullet gown as she put her toned legs on display.
Strutting along the carpet in a pair of high shine heels by Christian Louboutin, the Heartbreak On Hold musician as all smiles as she posed for photographers.
Accessoring with a quilted aquamarine Chanel handbag, Burke allowed her blonde and brunette locks to cascade down her shoulder while keeping her make-up fresh.

Hosted by Labrinth the event was an unofficial Pre-BRIT Awards dinner, honoring War Child, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Other stars at the soiree included James Arthur, Laura Mvula, Zara Martin, and Tali Lennox.
