Dancing on Ice superstar Heidi Range surprised the public with her dance moves and new look on the talent show recently. The blonde beauty showcased a super tanned body (courtesy of Beau Bronz - the official tan sponsor of the show), and glittery make-up to compliment her dazzling skating outfits. The golden skin, sparkling lids and super glossed lips – she has come a long way since the original Sugababes. After talking to the Beau Bronz tanning people about Heidi at their party last night, we were inspired to research how Heidi looks so hot!
Heidi, who has recently split from long-term partner Dave Berry seems to be getting over the heartbreak well, and quite frankly has never looked better. The singer always claims she is low maintenance and that her look can be achieved by anyone, as her must-have products are not over-the-top. We decided to put this to the test and sniff out the ice-skater’s tried and tested products:
(1) LOréal Paris Telescopic Mascara, £10.99

Heidi has magnificent eyelashes, which she tells The Mirror, is helped by L’Oréal. “I was recently at an awards ceremony and someone asked if I was wearing fake lashes. It even makes me look wide awake when I have to get up at ungodly hours of the morning.” At the VIP offices, we want an evening where we don’t have to wear falsies…this may be our new wonder product! (2) MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, £14

The Sugababe likes to keep her eyes dramatic but simple at the same time, which is why she favours the 60s look, with cat-like eyeliner. InStyle caught up with the Liverpool lass and says she “loves MAC Blacktrack, and it lasts for ages.” If you want peepers like Heidi’s click here.
(3) Beau Bronz Self-Tan, £21.60

We all know that Heidi loves a bit of fake tan, and even more so now she has been bathing in it for weeks because of DOI (not literally – we hope). Every skater on the show is smothered in Beau Bronz, and we think it looks awesome. When we spoke with the singer, she told us this is the only tan she will ever use from now on. A couple of years ago I was hosting the Chart Show on Radio 1, and we had the Sugababes on. I've known them in every incarnation of the band, so this would have been at the point before Jade Ewen had joined, to replace Keisha Buchanan.
We were in the studio having a bit of a chat while a song was playing and Amelle [Berrabah] came over. She'd lost a lot of weight and her figure had changed quite a bit, and when she turned round, I made a comment about how noticeable her bum suddenly was.
I'd really meant it as a compliment – I'm of Ghanaian descent and we like a big bum on our women – but she got all shy and started play-punching me a bit, saying "Shut up Reggie, you're embarrassing me."
We carried on joshing until the producer came over and told me I only had 30 seconds before we were back on air, and I needed to stop messing about.
I stopped to look at the script and then Amelle turned around again, and I sort of carried on where I'd left off. I was still in silly mode when I faded up the mic and said: "You're listening to the official chart ..." And at that point I said "… and we have had shitloads of text messages …"
I stopped and looked up, and everybody else was staring at me. It was the first time I've ever sworn on air.
The protocol in that situation is that you apologise, you do it as a reflex. Luckily, I got away with it, because the reaction seemed to be that it was really funny. I think people could tell that I just hadn't been thinking. Nobody was offended, so that was good, but it was an awful moment. It's never happened since.
I do like a bit of banter with the guests before a show. For me it's about relaxing them, that's where the fun stuff starts happening. Even if I've only got 10 minutes with someone while they're putting their mic on, I'll do everything I can to try and calm them down. I've yet to have someone who hasn't responded to it really.
If I had any advice to give to aspiring broadcasters, obviously it would be not to swear! But also, be yourself. My favourite broadcasters are Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross. They are perfect examples of just being natural on air. Nobody can quite duplicate what they do because of that.
In broadcasting there is a line, and I think the best presenters are the ones that might occasionally dare to go over it, but still find a way to make things OK. That's a skill in itself.

The harsh realities of life as a successful member of a pop band are not to be taken lightly, and can lead to some bizarre situations as each new problem is met and overcome. And so, with One Direction storming the charts in America right now, here’s a cautionary tale from the last decade in British pop. Be careful lads, this could happen to you too.

Sugababes 1.0 (1998 – 2001)
Once upon a time there were three girls who formed a band. Being very young, and addicted to sweets, their producer referred to them as sugar-babes, which they then seized upon as the perfect name for their band. There was Siobhan, the flame-haired arty one, Keisha, the doe-eyed businesswoman, and Mutya, the soulful wild child. Their unique-selling point was their total frostiness, which seems even more alien now, in a pop landscape dominated by all-singing, all-dancing theatrical performers. Look at this, what poise! What presence!



Sugababes 2.0 (2001 – 2005)
And then, amid stories of bullying and fighting and general lack of ability to handle their sudden fame, Siobhan walked out, to embark on a hugely well-respected (but not world-beating) solo career. The record company failed to convince the remaining members that they had their best interests at heart, and so, having recruited Heidi, the blonde, Liverpudlian one, they came across a mash-up of Gary Numan’s “Are ‘Friends’ Electric” with Adina Howard’s “Freak Like Me” and set about carving up the pop charts. It was a last, desperate roll of the dice, and it worked:

This was the band’s golden period, and lasted for four years, during which time they released gloriously chilly pop hits like this:




Sugababes 3.0 (2005 – 2009)
Sadly, the life of a touring pop star was for Mutya, who had given birth to her daughter and was reported to have fallen out with the other two. Mind you, there were always rumours of arguments around the Sugababes, to the extent that they even called their sixth album “Catfights and Spotlights.” So she bowed out, to be replaced by Amelle, the lithe, eager-looking one. This then meant that the frosty reputation of the band rested entirely on Keisha’s shoulders, as the sole original member left. The other two made a game stab at looking too cool for this performance lark, but they were never born to it the way Mutya and Siobhan had been. Still, the hits kept coming…



Sugababes 4.0 (2009 – ?)And then the unthinkable happened. Keisha, the sole remaining original Sugababe, the planet in whose orbit Heidi and Amelle rotated, was kicked out of the group, and replaced with Jade, the leggy, superfluous-to-requirements one. This would have been shocking enough, had the band’s music continued to provoke delight and wonderment among pop fans, but something had snapped in their machine, and they began to release odd-sounding, slightly needy pop songs. Which would be fine for the Saturdays, but never for the haughty, stuff-you Sugababes.


As far as the press were concerned the band were over, and despite their songs getting a fair showing in the British charts, they went on extended hiatus in order to sort things out (and appear on various reality TV shows). They have yet to return.


Sugababes 5.0
This is the oddest part of the story. After Keisha was ousted from the group, she and Mutya began talking again, bringing in Siobhan too. As things stand currently, no one is quite sure how the three of the came to the decision, but they appear to have decided to form a band, and work on a new album. However they cannot be called Sugababes, because the trademark rests with Heidi, Amelle and Jade. Which may seem unfair, until you remember that Heidi has been in the band longer than Siobhan, and Mutya, and will soon overtake Keisha as the longest-serving member.
Nevertheless, the prospect of new material from the original line-up is a giddy thrill for all British pop fans, whatever they decide to call themselves (Twitter has decided they are the Origababes, but let’s hope the girls have a better idea). They have all been very cagey about the details, refusing to publicly declare anything, presumably in case it all falls apart again, but getting back together would be an enormous gesture of cool defiance to the record company that thought the members of the band were interchangeable. And cool defiance runs through the history of this band like grenadine in a tequila sunrise. And every bit as chilly.

Heidi Range is eyeing a role in 'Downton Abbey' now her stint on 'Dancing On Ice' has come to an end.

Heidi Range is eyeing a role in 'Downton Abbey'.
The Sugababes singer - who is currently on a hiatus with the girl band - explained after making a foray into the world of TV on the latest series of 'Dancing On Ice', she is keen to star in the ITV1 period drama, as "getting corseted up" would be her "ideal job".
She told Closer magazine: "I love a period drama, so getting corseted up on 'Downton' would be my ideal job!
"There are no plans to get all the Sugababes girls back together at the moment."
However, Heidi faces competition for a role in the hit show from fellow pop superstar, Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts, who recently admitted she was "obsessed" with 'Downton Abbey' and has shocked her friends by thinking the events played out in the drama are real life.
She previously said: "I'm obsessed with that show. I would love to be in it, even if it was just for one episode.
"It's so amazing, I actually feel like it's real life. My friends all think I'm really weird."

THE original Sugababes line-up have sealed a million-pound record deal to kick-start their comeback.

Mutya Buena, 26, Siobhan Donaghy, and Keisha Buchanan, both 27, have signed with Polydor Records — home to Take That and Lady GaGa.
But the girls will not be able to use the Sugababes name — despite the current line-up featuring NONE of the original members.
An industry source said: "They've been working on new material all year with some high-profile songwriters and producers.
"The label have started to pick tracks they think will help them be as big as they once were."

The girls formed the band in 1998 — scoring a hit with Overload.
Siobhan left in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range. Mutya quit in 2005 and Amelle Berrabah came in. In 2009 final original babe Keisha left, to be replaced by Brit Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen.

But last year the new Sugababes scrapped their album plans.
Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan are yet to decide on a new name. The source said: "This is a huge sign the industry thinks they've still got it."

More than a few heads were turned when the jam-packed line-up of Atelier Live’s Dance Arena festival was announced. Hang on, we said: you’ve got (deep breath) Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, Jay Sean, Natasha Bedingfield, Taio Cruz, Skylar Grey, Edward Maya and the Sugababes’ Amelle playing on the same night? We’d like to be backstage for this one, please.
Billed as the ‘Middle East’s biggest musical festival’, the event’s name won’t be winning any points for originality. But the greatest surprise is the speed it all happened – the line-up was announced less than a month ago, with the 12-hour all-dayer taking place at Dubai Sports City on Friday April 6. So in preparation for the big day we thumbed up on the line-up (so you don’t have to), and chatted to one of the headliners,
Mr ‘Stereo Love’ Edward Maya.

Ne-Yo
The American R&B star nominally heads this talent-packed bill. He’s been a household name since Billboard-topping 2006 hit ‘So Sick’. So many more hits followed that he was named as the 57th best-selling artist in America in the 2000s – despite only being in the charts for less than half of the decade. He lives a dual personality as songwriter-for-hire Shaffer Smith, and has penned scores of hit records for the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Mary J Blige.

Leona Lewis
Performing in the Middle East for the first time, Simon Cowell’s most successful protégé is the safest thing on the bill. With 20 million album sales under her belt, there can’t be a soul in the audience unfamiliar with mega-hit ‘Bleeding Love’. She told Time Out last year that she’s visited Dubai before, adding, ‘It’s so modern and it’s being built up. It’s amazing to see it happening. I think it would be cool to come back next year and see how far it has come.’ A wish that came true, clearly.

Jay Sean
Urban star Sean became the first Brit to top the US Billboard charts in decades with debut single ‘Down’. Also known for international smash ‘Ride It’, Sean is a repeat visitor to Dubai, whose last gig was at a sweaty Chi in February 2011. At the time he told Time Out: ‘I love Wild Wadi – love it. I also enjoy the Madinat, that’s quite a cool place to have dinner. And that big mall with the ski slope in it.’

Taio Cruz
Cruz is another Brit who’s managed to crack the US, selling 16 million records in just two years off the back of house super-hits ‘Break Your Heart’ and ‘Dynamite’. He’s visited Dubai before – playing N’Dulge last November – but when Time Out asked if it was his first time in the emirate, Cruz said he ‘couldn’t remember’.
