Amella BerrabahThe Sugababes have been off the radar for a while now but it’s good to see they’re all still talking to each other and there haven’t been any further band sackings. Well, we hope there haven't! There was no sign of longest running band member Heidi, though we're assured she was there for the catch up meeting
Amelle was snapped outside the Mayfair Hotel in London yesterday looking ultra trim in on-trend wide legged jeans and a cute cropped tee
On song: Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and The Saturdays star Una Healy in tune as they hit the town
By Jody Thompson
Last updated at 9:58 AM on 19th April 2011 They're members of two of the UK's favourite girlbands - and Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and Saturdays star Una Healy certainly looked in tune during an evening on the town in London last night. The popstars had been on a night out in one of the capital's poshest pubs - Guy Ritchie's Punch Bowl in Mayfair. And as they left, they matched each other stride for stride with the same beaming smiles on their faces.
Stylish stars: Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and The Saturdays Una Healy were grinning after a girl night out at Guy Ritchie's London pub The Punchbowl
Amelle, 26, was wearing the classic colour combo of red and black, with a black T-shirt, red skinny jeans and black pumps.
Una, 29, meanwhile was looking summery in a floaty floral print dress and tan woven leather sandals Una was letting off steam after another day in the studio with her fellow Saturdays working on the B-side for their new single Notorious.
They've also been working on a brand new album, the follow-up to last year's mini-album Headlines. They've been working with producers Tim Deal, Carl Falk and hitmaker Rami Yacoub, who's worked his magic for the likes of Britney Spears, most famous on Oops! I Did It Again, Crazy and Baby One More Time.
All smiles: Amelle was wearing a rock chick red and black outfit, whereas Una was summery in a pretty floaty floral print frock and sandals
Yacoub and Falk also teamed up more recently to write and produce The Wanted's hit single Lose My Mind. The band's new single Notorious meanwhile has been written by Ina Wroldsen, who penned the girls' previous songs Up and Higher, as well as writing tracks for the Pussycat Dolls and Pixie Lott. Talking about the single and upcoming new album last year, Mollie said: 'We've written tracks with Taio Cruz and quite a few with Alphabeat too, which is really exciting.
Popstar pose: Amelle's band the Sugababes are currently on a break but The Saturdays are busy working on a new album
'(There's) a song called Ready To Rise and it's quite a cheesy one, but we all love a bit of that sometimes!' It's all quiet on the Sugababes front however - even the band's website hasn't been updated for a year. Heidi Range is busy preparing for her wedding to Capital Radio presenter Dave Berry later this year, and Jade Ewen has been posing in her pants as the new face of Ultimo.
Only problem with this new information is that its the same day that was earmarked for the Chester Rocks Gig. Maybe they are going to play in two gigs in one day , maybe not ! Thanks again to TheLastSugababe for the heads up~ JadeEwenFan
Sugababes are new headliner at Stortford's Cazfest
By James Burton
RAPPER Example has pulled out of this year's Cazfest - but million-selling pop sensations Sugababes are confirmed to take his place. The all-girl trio, right, whose sophomore effort Angels With Dirty Faces went triple platinum, will now be spearheading a line-up that also includes 90s stars S Club, Stortford's own Ed Drewett and local acts The Jamie Fallon Band, The Last Men and The DC Effect. One slot at the festival, which is now in its third year, is also up for grabs in a battle of the bands competition that will be held in a few months' time. To find out more, see this week's Observer.
Bigger and better than ever before, Cazfest 2011 will take place on SATURDAY July 2nd 2011 at a new venue, Sworder's Field in the middle of Bishops Stortford, which will make getting there, and getting home afterwards, much, much easier! The line up is currently being worked on but you can be certain that it will be another fantastic selection featuring some suitably big name performers. Add the usual great choice of food and drink, CRY and Cazfest merchandise and a dance stage and you are guaranteed a fabulous day out in support of a truly worthwhile cause.
Advance Tickets £20.00 - Tickets on the day £25.00.
Free admission for children 12 and under if accompanied by a ticket holding adult!
"Jade Ewen, singer with girl band the Sugar Babes. I thought Jade looked so fabulous when I spotted her in Soho, that I just had to capture her glamorous, cool chic look." Wayne Tippetts http://www.streetstyleaesthetic.com
