From intricate embroidery on rich Desi attire to beautiful henna designs all over their bodies the Sugababes were desified! And the lovely ladies rocked their glamorous South Asian looks. The girls got a taste of what it's like to be Bollywood beauties since Desi Hits! hooked them up with a photo shoot were they donned designer Desi wardrobe. These exclusive shots were done for the June issue of UK's Asian Woman magazine.

The girls had an absolute blast during the shoot. "I am loving it, the clothes are amazing," said Amelle from the Sugababes. Under the direction of UK's acclaimed photographer's Amit & Naroop the Sugababes struck poses for Bohemian, glamorous and sensual looks.

Like many other celebs from the west the Sugababes are embracing all things Desi and we are helping them get what their desires are drawing them to! First we hooked the girls up with Urban Desi producer Mentor to fuse some South Asian beats into their hit track, "About a Girl." Then we presented a hot performance by the trio at the biggest night for Asian music in the UK, The AMAs (Asian Music Awards). Now we are giving the pop sensation a makeover in Indian couture. The girls were dressed in clothing made by celebrity designers. The wardrobe was provided by London's popular "Variety Silk House".

The Sugababes were all smiles as they tried on ornate Indian jewelry, colorful saris and other South Asian attire. "It's amazing looking at all the detail. I can't believe it's all done by hand," remarked group member Jade about the clothes. The group also enjoyed the henna that was put on them by the world's fastest henna artist, Pavan. The designs on their bodies sparkled since jewels and glitter were placed over them to add more to the designs. The shoot made Heidi who has visited India recently wanting to go back soon.

We have seen several artists from the west look stunning in Indian outfits. Now we can add the Sugababes to the list!

Suga ‘n spice for Babes makeover

SUGABABES aim to curry favour with their fans by spicing the act up with an Indian-style makeover.

The trio of AMELLE BERRABAH, HEIDI RANGE and JADE EWEN slipped into saris for this Asian-inspired shoot.

They've even reheated recent single About A Girl with an Indian feel.

They debuted the "Desi" mix of the track at the UK Asian Music Awards in March and feature their Eastern look in the June issue of Asian Woman magazine.

Sugababes Camden Crawl more Photos

The new look Sugababes have been quiet of late after suffering a chart blow with their current album not making the top ten and being dropped by Roc Nation in the US.

But it seems they are still promoting and sticking with it after adding some much needed glamour to the Camden Crawl this weekend which is usually reserved for indie and rock bands.

Reports have even suggested that they have all ready started working on a new album.

Their manager told Now magazine;

They’re a very happy group today. They can’t wait to get back into the studio and bring back that feel good factor.”

Sugababes turn Camden a sexy shade of blue

The Sugababes brought some much needed glamour to the Camden crawl in London this weekend – a welcome alternative to some of the other scruffy looking indie and metal bands that play the music festival such as Pendulum and Lostprophets.

Heidi, Jade and Amelle played to a sold-out Roundhouse, making the audience join them in a standing ovation after they performed hits from their album Sweet 7 like Wear My Kiss and Get Sexy.

And they weren’t just singing about looking sexy – all three of the babes looked sizzling in mini-dresses in different shades of blue.

Heidi Range – soon to be Mrs Dave Berry – went for a sexy denim dress. If you thought denim dresses were causal then think again as Heidi’s tight number hugs her figure in all the right places.

The Glam By Caprice bodycon denim dress at Very is equally scorching.

Jade Ewen, the former Eurovision contestant, has a lot to live up to being the new girl but she’s definitely made an effort to stand out in a light blue dress and military boots.

The Love Label double breasted military dress is a good match.

Last but not least, Amelle Berrabah may have a complicated hair cut but when it comes to clothes, she keeps it simple in a two-tone dress.

The babes are keeping with the rock theme and playing the V festival this summer. We expect even more loud and proud outfits to grab the audience’s attention.

Playing the Camden crowd is nothing compared to standing up in front of a whole field of festival junkies!
