Steven Seagal’s ‘End of a Gun’ in the Works
The Exchange has acquired international sales rights for its specialty label The Exchange Extreme forSteven Seagal’s upcoming crime-thriller feature “End of a Gun.”
The Exchange is introducing the feature at Cannes. Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired U.S. rights.
Seagal will play an ex-ATF agent who comes across a woman being beaten by her boyfriend in a mall parking lot. He’s forced to kill the assailant and finds himself facing possible criminal charges and an offer from the woman to help her steal $2 million hidden in the trunk of her boyfriend’s car in the police impound lot.
Keoni Waxman is directing from a script by Chuck Hustmyre. Producers are Daniel Grodnik and Binh Dang. The film is a Mass Hysteria Entertainment/ActionHouse Pictures production.
“We are thrilled to be working on a new Steven Seagal film,” said Brian O’Shea of The Exchange in a statement. “His cache as an international action star is stronger than ever and we are hopeful this will be the first of many films with him.”
Seagal began his adult life as an Aikido instructor and broke into show business in 1988 with “Above the Law” and saw his career peak with “Under Siege” in 1992. Other credits include “On Deadly Ground,” “Under Siege 2: Dark Territory,” “Exit Wounds” and “Machete.”
Waxman directed Seagal in the recently-released thriller “Absolution.”
